It was Saturday night and the rain was pouring hard on an autumn night. KC laid her head on Ryan's chest, while he read a book. The couple has been dating for a year now, and they have decided to moved in together two months ago. It was just one of their lazy nights and so they were cuddling on their bed. KC usually just lays there next to him as she watches him read his favorite books. He tends to find those books relaxing.
KC took his free hand and played with his fingers. Ryan couldn't help but glanced down at her and smiled slightly, watching her play with his fingers. As KC looked up, she sees him watching her.
"What?" She asked, smiling.
"Nothing." Ryan chuckled as he paid attention back to the book.
KC shrugged and kept playing with his fingers. After a few moments, she drops his hand as she starts to get bored. She flipped herself on her stomach and rested her chin on his chest, looking up to him. She smiled as she watches his eyes scanned the page and his eyebrows furrowed. KC ran her finger up his chest and into his jaw.
"KC..." Ryan murmured, his eyes still fixed on the book.
"Hmm?" KC slowly leaned up to him.
"I'm reading." He said, trying hard to concentrate on the book.
"Enough then." KC smiled, crushing her lips into his. Ryan dropped the book he was holding on the edge of the bed as he kissed her back. KC couldn't help but smile through the kiss. Ryan gently set his hand on her hip, pulling her close to him. They slowly pulled away to catch their breath. Ryan had a huge smile on his face as he set his forehead into hers.
"I love you." He muttered.
KC didn't had a chance to say 'I love you too' because Ryan kissed her again, but she didn't need to because he already knew that. Ryan rolled them over so now, he was hovering over her. KC laced her fingers through his short hair as they kissed passionately. Ryan's hand cupped her right cheek and caressed her cheek lightly with his thumb as he pulled away.
"I love you too." KC finally said, setting her hand on his neck.
Ryan brushed her lower lip with his thumb, smiling brightly.
They stayed like that for a moment. KC laying on the bed, while Ryan was on top of her. The thunder roared outside but both of them ignored it.
"Let's go to bed?" KC suggested. "You have work tomorrow."
Ryan frowned and pecked her on the lips before setting himself next to her. KC cuddled next to him, laying her head on his chest, while Ryan laced his fingers with hers. He reached for the lamp to turned the light off and the lightning flashed outside their window.
"Goodnight." KC murmured, closing her eyes.
Ryan gently pressed a kiss on her head before closing his eyes too.
"Goodnight, beautiful." Ryan murmured before falling asleep.
