Kayla's POV
I put down my pen and ran downstairs to open the door, revealing a sobbing Jamie.
"Jamie! What happened? Did someone yet you? Who was it? I'll get them!" Anger was bubbling inside of me.
I leaned over to hug her only to be pushed away, "Don't. I don't deserve that. Nobody hurt me. I-I need t-to tell you s-something." She spoke in between sobs. I stepped to the side to let her in. We can go in my room if you want. " I offered. " No, you should probably sit in the living room." I slowly walked into the living room assuming Jamie was following me. She wasn't. I went back to the hall, and Jamie was taking deep breaths. I stood unnoticed watching her brace herself for what she was about to tell me. When she looked up I ran to the couch. After a few minutes she finally appeared in the doorway. The sobs that once left her mouth were now gone even though her eyes were puffy and red. She slowly took small steps to the middle of the room. "I'm so sorry." She started, her voice cracking with the last word. "I never meant for it to go so far. I've realised you don't deserve anything your about to find out. Just know that even though I know we won't be friends within an hour, I've loved being your friend. At first it was pity then I got to know you. Then it got complicated and messed up. I never planned any of it to go as far as what I saw you do the other night. That night when I saw you coming unglued in my arms I realised what I brought you to." My thoughts were beginning to race. What does this mean? What did she do? She's been a good friend, she never did anything wrong. At least that I know of. She swallowed hard and started talking again, "Kayla, I'm going to get this per with so I don't waste your time any longer." She paused for a few seconds looking down at her feet. "It was a bet." She started crying again. "It was all a bet. At first. That first day you walked into school with your arm lined with bracelets, we all knew you cut. Because of that we thought of you as a freak. My friends thought it would be funny for me to trick you to be my friend, find out some secrets about you and tell everyone at school. Well, in the beginning, I was down with it. I introduced my self to you, became your friend, and so on. Then, things got worse. They made a bet of $300 dollars saying that if I could get you to confess 2 things within two weeks I would get paid. If I was too chicken, I had to pay $300 up front." I felt every bad feeling possible swell up inside me. It felt as though all the air had left my body.
I began to cry, not caring that my newest enemy was standing in front of me. "I'm so sorry Kayla! please, plea-" "GET. OUT." I cut her off. "No Kayla please understand-" "I said get. out! NOW!" She looked as though her whole world was ending. After a long pause she finally spoke, "O-okay. Just p-please don't do anything you might regret. I don't want you to hurt yourself anymore." Before she could say anything else I pushed her out the door, slammed it shut, and ran upstairs. My whole world was crashing down once again. But this time, I'm ending all the pain and suffering before it has time to blossom.

I really hate Jamie. Even though I created her, I hate her.
There will be one more chapter and then a epilogue. It's so weird to be ending this book.
