Chapter 1

PERRIES POV

"Pezz c'mon your gonna make us late!"

My best friend Leigh-Anne screams from the bottom of the stairs. I look in the mirror once more double checking my outfit looks okay and grab my phone, running downstairs. An impatient Leigh fixing her Afro in the mirror in the hallway.

"C'mon Leigh your gonna make us late!" I mimicked her, earning a few choice words in response. Luckily she can drive, so we get into her Mini Cooper and she drives away.

Let me introduce myself. My names Perrie Edwards, I'm 17 from south Sheilds. Leigh has been my best friend since nursery. Her uncle owns a club/bar down the road, and he kindly gave us a job there. Even though your supposed to be 18 to work in a club or a bar, he still gave us a job because he knew we needed money and well Leigh's his niece. The best part is her family class me as family too, the same with her and my family.

She pulls into the car park of the club and parks in front of the building. We quickly climb out of her car and run through the doors, going behind the bar before her uncle notices. We sigh of relief when we notice he wasn't in sight, meaning he wouldn't have noticed us.

"Girls, your late" her cousin, Dylan came out the back. Dylan manages the place when her uncle isn't around.

"Shit" we murmur and turn around.

"Sorry, we got stuck in traffic on the way here. It's not our fault" she explains.

"Alright, now get to work before it gets busy!" He tells us and walks back into the room.

We quickly restock the fridges and start to serve people as they arrive. Leigh mainly makes cocktails and things, while I just pass her the bottles and make other drinks from the taps.

A little later on when the place is crowded. I notice a small brunette standing close to the bar and looking around. Five minutes later she sighs and turns around to face me. My eyes widen as I take in her features. Amazing hazel eyes enhanced by the lighting, a cute button nose and heart shape lips.

"Hey, you okay?" I ask her, noticing she looks upset and a little annoyed.

"My date just stood me up" she sighs.

"You sure he's not just late?" She shrugs.

"Yeah half an hour late" she huffs out.

"Well can I get you anything from this fine assortment of drinks?" I ask, gesturing to the bar.

"Double vodka and red bull please" she giggles. I quickly make and hand her the drink. She thanks me and takes the straw between her lips. She looks around, mainly towards the door. Obviously looking to see if her date arrives.

"Well I'll try my best to keep you company while you wait" I smile.

"That would be great" she smiles and sits on the little stool opposite me.

"I like your shirt" she nods her head. I look down at my Kurt Cobain t-shirt that Leigh bought me for my birthday.

"Thanks" I smile. "What's your name love?" I ask, leaning against the bar.

"Trouble" she winks and leans forward against the bar, like I had. Now us being closer.

"Well I shouldn't exactly be talking to you if your trouble then" I smirk and tilt my head slightly. "Or is that like a nickname, or French? Or maybe like something a celebrity would name their kid?" I ask but laugh.

"It's Jade, you can stop thinking so much" she giggles "and yours?"

"The names Perrie" I smile.

Hours later, close to closing time. We sat talking for hours talking about nothing in particular. I did find out that she was 22. But kept going back to how some girls were basically asking to leave with someone, due to how slutty they were dressed.

"I'll see you around Perrie" she smiles and leans over the bar to kiss my cheek, making me blush and shiver with delight. She walks towards the door and turns back, waving at me. I wave back and she walks put the door.

"Well you may as well do some work now, you've been flirting with her for almost 3 hours" Leigh laughs.

"Do one Leigh, she's lovely" I smile, looking at the door.

When we finish our shift around 11 Leigh drops me off at my house on her way home. I grab a quick glass of water before I head up to my room. I take my make up off and say good night to my mam who had gotten home from work while I was out. I change into my t-shirt and shorts and climb into bed.

The whole night I couldn't get Jade off my mind.

It's too early for me, I'm meeting my friends in town for a McDonald's breakfast then going to get concert tickets then going to a college open day😊
