The woods was very dark and cold. Even though Caroline was a vampire she couldn't see much from the trees or hear from the loud wind. She was constantly looking at her back to see if something was following her. Someone.

While she was running, she was trying to find a way out of the woods and return to the town as quickly as possible. She stopped for a minute to hear clearly if she was followed. She heard a cracking branch noise and she stayed put to get ready to attack.

She knew it was a huge mistake when her boyfriend Stefan called her to come to the woods and have some fun. As she was a good vampire she couldn't say no to him and came. If she knew that her boyfriend would be slaughtered by the huntress herself right in front of her eyes she would definitely not come.

As she still was shaken about the whole thing, she didn't know what to do. While she was thinking about Stefan's death and how it was her fault, she was unable to notice the jumping figure coming to her. It was too late and she couldn't shake the figure from her at the right time. When the figure was gonna stab her with a sword, she quickly pushed it to a tree. The huntress was lying lifeless on the ground but it was too late.

Caroline put her hand to the right side of her chest and she could feel a bump. A wound. A mark caused by that sword. She knew what exactly happened but she also knew that she had to run away before the huntress woke up. She immediately fleed from the woods and tried to find the route to her best friend Bonnie's house with an exhausting grief and desperation of thinking what her next move must be after this.

When she saw the lights were on on her friend's porch, she climbed to the tree which was next to Bonnie's bedroom. She knocked on the window and got Bonnie's attention from the spell book she was reading. She instantly got up from her bed and opened the window to let Caroline in.

- Hey Bon Bon, said Caroline very nervously. When Bonnie heard that anxiety from her friend's voice she said:

- Hey Care Bear. Is everything okay? Why do you sound so shaken? Caroline couldn't say anything. She had millions of thoughts in her mind right now. How Stefan was killed right in front of her eyes, how he looked at her one last time trying to tell her everything was gonna be alright, how she wouldn't be able to say i love you to her boyfriend one last time... As she was lost in words, only tears started to fall from her eyes.

When Bonnie saw her best friend in that situation she couldn't know what to do but to hug her. She held her tight and told her everything was gonna be alright. Caroline cried in her arms for almost an hour and she couldn't resist too much and let herself to sleep. Bonnie laid her friend to her bed and laid next to her as she tried to sleep too. Whatever happened was gonna be tomorrow's discussion not today's.
