Our story begins in the far desolate sands of the Sahara desert; a dry and dead barren land, the day is hot with the scorching unbearable sun. Its landscape is covered with years of uninhabited life and no rainfall; the few travelers who follow the path do so avoiding dangerous smooth sand terrains, barely can one see any form or sign of life due to the extreme hotness and heat experienced in this barren land except Bedouin tribes and travelers. This however brings us to a story of a young girl and her bizarre intertwining journey with the lives of five humans from earth.
September in the year 2045 AD, a team of historical archeologists led by Professor Nosscros Kalgan, a 5.6 foot tall man, bald, broad shouldered and full of strength in his early forties he stood holding a digital object sensing telescope. Together with his team of eight students from the University of Owrex they journeyed to the desert in hope of discovering any object that would be of value to their research, Owrex University, a decade old founded institution in the far end borders of England filled with accomplished individuals from around the world. Embarking on this long journey archeologists seek the discovery of any possible artifact buried in the desert that they could find for a secret research the professor was working on, a male member of the team steps down from a huge tiered van with which they journeyed to the hot desert sands with, holding a high tech scanning device to enable them locate any buried object, the man scans his friends smiling as they notice him.
“What do you think you’re doing?” a blond female in grey shirt and dark jeans asks grinning at him as she takes a photo with her camera looking around
“It’s funny how you guys look in the scanner, all skeleton like” the man replies adjusting the device
“get serious and finish john, this place is freaking hot and am in dire need of a bath” says a black woman blowing hot air from her fan, the rest of the crew of five men and a Caucasian woman step down trying to help the professor who stood observing his advanced object compass detector. they Suddenly see a dim ray of reflective red light over an oasis sand dune, quickly the professor hurries down away from the van in full excitement followed by his team; they all come upon an unusual edge of a huge circling hole spinning slowly and looking very deep, inside they see what looks like a space ship that was buried deep inside the sands for some time with engraved extraterrestrial designs and markings moving round steadily on its own gravitational orbit.
Professor Nosscros kneels down beside the hole inspecting the circling movements of this unknown buried ship, he observes a light emitting from its center, shocked and a bit scared his team move back with fear of the object, he smiles joyously imagining the high scientific achievement they could gain from this discovery he unknowingly slips and falls into the hole falling beside the unknown shuttle. Suddenly, a loud metallic sound is heard beneath the ground, the sands slowly and steadily rises from beneath raising the ship out to the surface; he grabs the metal walls not to get buried as the sands poured into the hole filling it up. His crew eagerly rush to him also in excitement and fear, he turns quickly warning them not to touch the object but been amazed by the discovery of an extraterrestrial ship just made them ignore all warning and precautions as the ship erupts out onto the surface of the desert. Immediately shiny balls shoot out from the ship exploding on contact to his team killing the impatient crew behind Nosscros he ducks quickly getting only bruised and unconscious, after half an hour he wakes up from the blast a bit dizzy and uncertain of his surroundings the professor grievously looks at the bodies of his students.
Standing up, he stares at the designed engravings on the ships external walls wondering what life form could be present inside, he moves away quickly upon seeing a spark of current from what seemed to be its damaged turbine hole, immediately a small doorway opens filled with grey fog fuming out from the inside, the Professor uses his scarf to cover his nose and adjusts his goggles. He uses his hands to clear a pathway from the fog and steps into the ship, heart racing from fear of attack from any hostile life form. Just as he walks to the center of the ship’s deck in the center he glances round quickly seeing a highly advanced level of technology, and the metal compositions seemed quite similar to that of earth, his attention is caught by a strange beautiful child, human in form and figure calmly lying unconscious on the surprisingly cold floors of the ship, he moves a bit closer and sees it’s a girl with long razor sharp dark hairs covered in a purple robe like attired costume that was definitely not from this world, a beautiful child lying at the center he thought as he noticed her cloth flowing from the incoming breeze from outside the ship. Quickly he sees a chest like metal box opened and filled with precious gems stones his eyes widened from this discovery knowing he was about to be rich for the rest of his life. The Professor slowly kneels beside the girl seeing her arms wrapped round a medium sized almost s-shaped tablet, stretching his arms to touch her, the girl staggers to the ground with a remarkable speed pointing her sharp blade to the professor’s neck. Both scared now the professor pleads
“Please don’t hurt me, I mean you no harm child”
She stares at him confused from this sudden strange language she was hearing, realizing that, he gestures to her using his left arm. Her eyes focusing on his it turns white for a second then she steps closer to him saying
“I understand you”
Surprised but cautious he carefully steps back away from her hands still up, watching the curios eyes of the girl follow his movements
“Alright I won’t hurt you, could you please put the dagger down” professor asks staring at the sharp dagger.
“Not until you tell me what you and your people were doing around my ship” said the girl now gazing quite sternly at his eyes, such sparkling bright eyes he observed and pale skin from a long starving journey he thought.
“We were on an expedition looking for antiques which led us here to you; we did not expect it did be your ship that we would find”
He points to the tablet in her hand, she looks down upon it then slowly back at him with a saddened frown at the professor holding the dagger more firmly in her hands,
“Are you thieves?”
“No, a light from the hole which the ship was buried in led us here and I presume it has something to do with the object in your hands”
Staring down deeply in his eyes she telepathically doesn’t sense harm from him she decides to bring her arm down slowly holding the object still firmly, she looks round the ship and back at him feeling the sudden need of help saying
“My world is in crises; a civil war, been abandoned I escaped and came here and now I cannot return, its important I find someone in your world to merge with the tezra in order for me to return to my world”.
“Is that the name of the object in your hand?” asked Professor Nosscros pointing at it
“Yes, my parents are fighting to preserve their claim to the thrones from evil subjects within our palace trying to end us, in confusion they hid underground and left me alone so I escaped”
“Are they alive?” the professor asked looking at the girl’s saddened face.
“I do not know, all I can say is this tablet is my link back home and its severed from my ship crash, unless and until I find someone to link it to”
“Can’t you link it to yourself?”
“No, it doesn’t work that way, it must choose its vessel”
“That’s dangerous!” he exclaims with concern
“Only if I handle it carefully and the person follows my instructions”
“Let me help you then” urged the professor “you will be protected in my care until we find the person to link the tezra to”.
“Why should I trust you?”She asks staring at him inquisitively
“Because child right now it seems am your only hope”,
“It seems so but I can handle myself” pressing her lips as she surveyed the ship walls for useful items before noticing the chest of precious gems, quickly she glances at the professor with a frown asking
“Am sure the stones are also the reason why you need me to trust you into helping me right?”
“No no, only if you choose to give some of the stones to me”
“And why would I do that, they are priceless?”
“In this world they can provide wealth and a chance to make research in finding the right person you seek” he defends himself calmly hoping she believes him.
She stands up walks to the precious gems picks a yellow shining diamond rock and throws it to the professors hands, he grasps unto it staring at the girl surprised
“You are fascinating to see right now, I mean being a another alien from another world you look so human”
“Is that what your kind calls those from other worlds…aliens?”
“it doesn’t matter what matters now is you letting me look after you I promise to protect you with my life, you could school where I work that way no one would easily suspect your existence except for the ship”.
“These stones are at your disposal but remember this, fail me and I will bury you with all your promises” she threatens with an unflinching stare.
“Agreed” said the professor standing and giving her his hands to shake, she stares with questioning eyes then she walks closer to him
“What’s this?”
“This is how we bond a promise and trust in my world a sign of friendship” replied the professor.
“In my world we cut a line in our arms to seal promises and agreement”
The professor stares at her blade with a slight fright of shock then he tries to give a half grimacing smile as she took his arms shaking them.
“But let’s do it your way for now” she says feeling convinced.
Quickly they pack all her valuables into the van outside the ship staring at the setting sun feeling the air grow thicker and the night definitely was going to be cold, as soon as they sit she presses a kind of device on her palm which quickly melts her ship, professor Nosscros stared in amazement as all evidence of extraterrestrial life form vanished except for the girl. She turns to him with an apology saying,
“Sorry about your friends”
“It’s not your fault; they knew the risks for this expedition” he replies with a sign of tears welling up in his goggled covered eyes, “What do I call you princess?”
“Jasma, Princess Jasma Neroy” she answers with sleepy eyes.
“Well jasma, my name is professor Nosscros kalgan and welcome to earth”. The professor utters glancing at the already sleeping princess; he was pleased for suddenly having an alien child to look after but remembering he failed to mention to her he had a daughter as he opened a small photograph pendant from his coat pocket staring at her picture, kicking the vans ignition he drives off through the night leaving the already burning bodies of his crew with the fear of the future puzzling him, what if the sudden appearance of jasma was a warning of an invasion, could she be trusted?, what if when she finally gets what she wanted she decides to unleash hell on all earth. She could be a spy after all her first move was to burn his students alive, such barbaric race she seemed to have emerged from realizing these unanswerable questions he knew with every waking second, day, month, and year his heart would never be at rest or at peace for he might single handedly have allowed the secret exposure of a future invasion to harbor and grow stronger right under the nose of the entire world.
The mysterious portal as it’s called had been discovered by Professor Nosscros Kalgan and he believed it due to princess jasma convincing him to be a gateway to her dimensional world. The key tablet of tezra which she sort a special human to link it to enable her return to her world might pose a greater threat because as long as her kind where at the other side of the universe the chances of a great war was imminent, they could come out easily and except that they wouldn’t be able to return but what if all she said was a lie? What if she was a spy here to study earth and gather Intel or perhaps she was looking for someone, .what if, the professor thought as he drove of the desert through the dimming cold night of the desert.
