A soft rustle heralds the entrance of the lithe sin'dorei, her body clad in tight brown leather armor,
her crimson hair catching the fading sunlight, giving it a soft golden shine. "I thought I'd find you here"
she smirks, looking over the younger ren'dorei laying on the ridge that overlooks the river below.
"You're always here when you get the chance, someday you'll have to tell me what's so special about this spot,
but there's no time for that now, We gotta move."
The ren'dorei sits up, adjusting her pale pink dress. She picks up a small notepad beside her, scribbling in it, she holds it
up, the page reading "Already? I didn't think they'd find us..this sucks." a pout on her face, the girl grabs her nearby pack,
hauling herself to her feet.
The sin'dorei reaches out her hand, helping her younger companion up, hugging her in the process as she whispers "We chose
this, we've got to move. You trust me, right Kotorii?"
Kotorii nods, offering a smile, slinging her pack on and grasping her notepad, pointing off into the distance.
"Right!" the sindorei announces, marching off with renewed fervor.
After a few hours of walking, the sin'dorei comes to a sudden halt, causing Kotorii to bump into her. "Shh, I heard something,
did you? " she whispers quietly.
Kotorii shakes her head, but slips her notebook into the side pocket of her pack.
Upon the breeze, there the sound of a couple approaching horses grows louder.
"Get behind me" The sin'dorei states, not bothering to ask.
Kotorii does as she's told, not precisely happy, but never questioning her companion.
Two heavily armoured forsaken dreadguards appear on their ghastly steeds, Looking upon the Sin'dorei. "So, Rainarra, the reports
were true, You've taken up with a traitor, not only that, you're friends, and protecting her too, it seems. Our scout told
us where to find you. You do realize what this means for you, right?" one of the men says.
"It's definitely not good, You're lucky if you even get a prison sentence, Sylvanas doesn't take this sort of thing lightly,
especially not now..." he snickers, a cocky grin on his face, almost as if he'd enjoy the sight.
Rainarra looks to the two men "One. I couldn't give a fuck what Sylvanas thinks, she has no heart, she puts her feelings
before the horde, what they want, or anyone elses needs. Two, this is my friend, shes like a sister to me, and I will
lay down my life for her, gladly, so you two can kindly fuck off."
As Rainarra speaks, Kotorii goes wide-eyed at how outspoken she is, breathless.
"Is that so?" one of the Dreadguards says, dismounting, the other following suit.
"I guess you won't mind dying here then, we're under orders to retrieve you, dead, or alive. THAT, too." he points a disgusted,
bony finger at the girl behind the Sin'dorei.
"Yeeaah I don't think that works for me." Rainarra states sarcastically.
One of the dreadguards starts to charge her, but finds he can't move, stuck in place, left just blinking. Rainarra charges
the other, knocking him back, pounding him in the chest repeatedly with a series of blows in such a surprise he doesn't have
time to block. When the dreadguard does get his bearings, he swings his sword, connecting with Rainarra's shoulder,
only managing to slice her leather armor before she drops, sweeping him to the ground. She manages to pummel him again,
this time about the head, causing him to fall unconscious, about the same time, the second dreadguard is finally released,
charging at the sin'dorei, knocking her to the ground with a thud. Pulling out his sword, he holds it to her throat, having
cornered her.
"Now as we said, you and her are coming wi-" Kotorii charges the guard's knees from behind, knocking him down, giving Rainarra
just the time she needs to gain the upper hand, using a couple kicks to keep him down. Tying both the men up, she dusts herself
off.
"Now, as -I- was going to say. Fuck Sylvanas, and fuck you guys. We're doing as we please. You guys can hang out here till
someone..or something finds you, We're gonna borrow these horses here and your supplies, I'm sure you dont mind, yeah?
thats so sweet and gentlemanly of you both!" she gives a smirk and a giggle, helping Kotorii up onto a horse.
Mounting her own, Rainarra salutes the two tied up men with a mock salute, then looks to her friend "Well this just cut
a lot of time off our travels, yeah?" she smiles.
Kotorii pulls her notepad back out and scribbles in it, holding the page up, the writing reading "I was worried about you,
you silly person you"
"I know, I know, but it had to be done, and we made it, yeah?" Rainarra states.
After sunrise, the two friends manage to come in sight of a large portal, off in the distance. " You see that, Kotorii? That's
a portal to a different world, where the alliance and the horde don't fight as much, they're worried about other things, not
you or me. We're going to go there, to a small corner of draenor, and just live our lives out in peace.. Doesn't that sound
nice?"
Kotorii nods energetically, smiling, scribbling in her notebook and holding it up again "We'll send for our friends and stuff,
right?" the page reads, a large smiley face on the page as well.
"Of course we will, of course we will" Rainarra assures. "Lets make camp until nightfall, moving during the day is bad,
the edge of the woods here is great for cover... " dismounting, she ties up her horse, then helps her friend down, starting
to set up camp.
The two women fall asleep quickly, Rainarra waking first, only to find out the horses have escaped. "Damn it!" she exclaims,
the cursing waking her friend up. "Sorry I didn't mean to wake you..."
Kotorii shakes her head, fixing her dress, looking around for the horses.
"They're gone" Rainarra admits "Looks like we're walking"
Kotorii pouts but nods, preparing to walk, grabbing some food from her bag before slinging it over her shoulder, Rainarra
following suit, the two women heading off towards the portal as dusk falls.
As luck would have it, just before the portal, the two horses are wandering around, nibbling at stray strands of grass that
have managed to regrow in the desolate area, causing Rainarra to almost jump for joy, instead she bearhugs Kotorii.
"Look at that, maybe this wont suck so bad."
Kotorii giggles and nods, the two women lead the horses through the portal, stepping into a new world..their new life, together.
