Reunions - Part 1

Here ya go. Oh and thanks BookNerdCassieClare and kierarktina for the suggestions and lovely comments, this is for you both!! I wasn't expecting anyone to read this and like it, so it means a lot.

Its been about a year since he'd left the Los Angeles
Institute now. Mina was officially 1 next month and this was why Kit found himself sitting at the kitchen table with Tessa and Jem planning her birthday party.

"Don't use pink," Kit grumbled for the fifth time now.

"And why not Christopher?" Jem inquired.

Kit glared at him and replied with "One; not all girls like pink. Two; that's assuming Mina's gender."

"Ughhh fine," Tessa sighed. Kit smiled at her as he stole the pen and paper from Jem.

"What colour?" Kit asked, "Blue? Yellow?"

"Pastel blue," Tessa suggested and Kit jotted it down.

"Who's coming?" Kit asked.

"Jace, Clary, Alec, Magnus, Max, Raphael, Isabelle, Simon, Maryse, Catarina, Ragnor, Emma, Cristina, Mark, Helen, Aline, Dru, Tavvy, Julian, Ty—" Tessa started. Kit had tensed when she had said Emma's name but had completely stopped doing everything when Ty's name was mentioned.

"What happened between you two?" Jem asked.

"Nothing important," Kit replied sharply. He avoided their eyes and cleared his throat, writing down Ty's name.

"You know you can tell us anythi-" Tessa began before Kit cut her off by saying "I know."

Kit got up from the table feeling extremely uncomfortable and walked towards his bedroom. He flung the door open carefully so he didn't wake Mina up and flopped down on his bed dramatically. He groaned and allowed himself to think of Ty. The way his dark eyelashes cast long, elegant shadows across his cheek bones; the way his magnificent, curly, jet black hair stuck out at all angles creating a halo of thorns; his gorgeous grey eyes and how they reminded him of a hurricane and his pink cupid bow lips. Kit wanted to kiss them so bad it hurt. He sighed. It was kinda sad that he was laying here day dreaming about Ty when he didn't even mean anything to the other boy.

Kit woke up the next day slightly confused. He must have fallen asleep. Kit's stomach growled as if to confirm his theory and he rolled out of bed, sighing. He had a quick shower and pulled on a pair of black jeans and a light blue button up shirt. He walked out to the Kitchen and slumped down into a chair.

"Coffee?" Jem called from the other side of the room.

"Yes please," Kit groaned. He was so tired still and so sick of hiding from Tessa and Jem; but he couldn't tell them now. Maybe later, he thought. Right now was time to eat anyway. Jem set down a mug of coffee and a plate full of pancakes in front of them. His stomach lurched as he remembered the LA Institute and how they would have pancakes every week. Kit swallowed and picked up his knife and fork and started eating. The pancakes tasted so delicious. Kit finished his breakfast and asked Jem and Tessa a question.

"What's happening today?"

Tessa shrugged and Jem replied with "I don't know; some training? Or we could go on a mission. Their was a recent complaint about faeries going around asking about shadowhunters and the LA Institute."

Kit looked up at Jem. "In other words you mean me." he said matter of factly. He sighed as Jem nodded.

"Well we should probably take care of the faeries," Kit replied and Jem nodded. They both got up and went to get a few weapons and a coat to hide them. When they came back into the kitchen, Tessa was standing their with Mina on her arms. She opened up a portal and Jem basically dragged Kit through it before he could ask him where we were going.

And he should have known: Los Angeles.

This was originally going to be Kit coming out to Tessa and Jem but.... it became this. I mean I wrote it at 1:25 in the morning so... kinda expected for me to not keep to the original idea. Anyway, we can all tell where this is going, so get ready to say hi to the other beloved characters next week some time. Well BYE!!!

P.S. the next one will be longer. Sorry for the short chapter.
