Chloe's New Sweater? one-shot story

         Chloe gets up and ready for the day.  She is not to happy.  Today is her birthday!   Her father always gives her nice presents, but her mother never remembers her birthday.  Even when she was little her mother always forgot it.  She wishes for once her mom might recall her daughter's  birth date to mind.  She sighs as she thinks, Like that will ever happen!

         Chloe heads off to school,  after she gives her father a quick peck on the cheek.  She arrives there on time as usual. She sees Sabrina and smiles.  She sure hopes her best friend remembers her special day.  She greets her with more kindness that usual. 

          "Hey Sabrina!"  Chloe says.

        "Hey, Chloe!   I got you something!"  Sabrina says.

     "Really, you did?"  Chloe ask.

      "Yes, what kind of bestie would I be if I forgot my best friends birthday?"  Sabrina says.

      "Thanks, Sabrina!"  Chloe says as she takes the package from her.

           Chloe rips open the box.  She takes a look inside and squeals!

         "Wow, Sabrina!  I love it!" Chloe says.  She gives Sabrina a hug.

      Sabrina is taken aback by the kind gesture, but hugs Chloe back.  She figures, why not?  It is her b-day after all.

         Chloe takes off her signature yellow sweater.  She hands it to Sabrina.  She pulls out the brand new white sweater with yellow daisies on it over her head.  She smiles, and says, "Sabrina, you can keep my old sweater!  I mean that is if you want too."  

     "Thanks, Chloe!"  Sabrina says.

     "Oh, your welcome!"  Chloe says.

     Chloe walks into the classroom in a really good mood.  Everyone else looks at her in surprise!  They notice she is less moody than usual.  This is a nice change is what the group thinks as a whole.  Even Miss Bustier sighs in relief that she does not have to send Chloe to the principals office this morning.  This makes one less pink slip left to fill out and one less parent teacher conference with Chole's  single father.   She feels sorry for Chloe as she rarely ever sees her mother ever since her parents divorce became final a few years ago.  She can tell Chloe struggles daily since then.  It does not help much that the new student, Lila Rossi uses these facts as an excuse to ridicule Chole almost non stop.  

     Later after school,  Marinette walks up to Chloe and hands her something.  Chloe smiles.  She gives Marinette a look of surprise!

      "It is your birthday, right?"  Marinette says.

    "Yes, it is just that I never thought you would give me a present,  Marinette!"  Chloe says.

   "Well, everyone deserves a present on their birthday!"  Marinette says.

     "Wow, Marinette!  It seems I have been to cruel to you!  I mean it.  You are so kind to everyone especially me, and I have been so horrid to you!  Will you forgive me?"  Chloe says.

      "Chloe, it is okay.  Oh, and Happy Birthday, Chloe!"  Marinette says.

     "Oh, you can call me Chlo, that is what my friends call me!"  Chloe says.

     "What?  You mean you want to be friends with me?"  Marinette says.

     "Sure, I mean if you want too."  Chloe says.

    "Sure, Chlo!"  Marinette says. She hugs her.

     Chloe has tears in her eyes as she hugs Marinette back.  She feels like a huge burden is gone now.  She is so happy, Marinette forgave her and is friends with her now.

       "Chloe that was nice of you to be so kind to Marinette!"  Adrien says.

      "Awe, thanks Adrien! " Chloe says.

      "Hey, Chloe!  I see the field  just threw up on your shirt!"  Lila says.

       "Hey, do not pick on my friend like this!  "  Marinette says.

      "Yeah, that is so uncalled for, Lila!"  Sabrina remarks.

      "Lila, how dare you talk to Chlo like this!"  Adrien says.

       "Ugh, fine!  See you later, losers!"  Lila says and walks off in a huff.

       "Wow, Chloe that is a nice sweater!"  Kim says.

     "Thanks, Kim!"  Chloe says.

       "Yeah, I agree it is nice!"  Alix says.

        "Thanks,  Alix!"  Chloe says.

       "I think the print design goes great with your hair!"  Timothy the new guy says.

      "Y-you really th-think so T-Timothy?"  Chloe says.

      "Sure, and not only that, but I like you!"  Timothy says.  He winks at her.

       Chloe blushes as she mutters,  "I l-like y-you t-too, T-Timothy!"  Chloe says.  She blushes.

       "What was that?  I didn't quite hear you!"  Timothy teases her.

         Timothy notices the look she gives him and laughs.  "Sorry, Chloe, it is just I am glad you like me!  It just came as a shock because I never knew you felt that way before now!"  Timothy says.

        "Here, I got you this for your birthday!"  Timothy says.

      Chole opens the gift.  She smiles when she sees a yellow scarf inside.

        "Thanks, Timothy!   I love it!"  Chloe says, as she hugs him.

         "Your welcome, Chlo!"  Timothy says.

       Marinette and Adrien, both smile.  Alya and Nino does the same.  Sabrina just laughs.

         " Timothy, did you know Chlo, gave me her old sweater?"  Sabrina says.

       "Wow, that is so kind of you Chlo!" Timothy says and gives her a huge smile.

           As Timothy, walks away Chole feels like she may swoon.  She blushes too.  Chloe can hardly believe it.  The boy she crushes on actually likes her back, and he compliments her new sweater too!  Wow, this guy is so amazing, dreamy, sweet and cool!

     Two weeks, later, Lila arrives at school with her hair up in a pony tail.  Then on top of it all, she has the nerve to wear a similiar sweater, no the exact same one as Chloe's!   Chloe looks at her in dismay and thinks, that Copy cat!  Ugh, why does she do this to me?

       Everyone else just looks at Lila with annoyance and thinks, good grief!  She has the nerve to make fun of Chloe's  clothes and now she copies them!  Plus, she copies her hairstyle too,what is with this girl?

       After school,  Lila bumps into Chloe and spills some coffee all over her sweater!  Chloe is upset.  She cries, but does not say a harsh word to Lila!  

       "Opps, did I do that?  It was an accident, I  promise!  I mean it!"  Lila says.

     "Come, on Lila!  Just stop with all the lies!"  Adrien says.

     "Yes, we have enough of you and your lies!"  Marinette says.

      "How could you do this to my best friend?"  Sabrina says.

      "I would not talk if I were you four eyes!"   Lila says.

      With that Lila walks away.

        "Chlo, are you alright?"  Timothy ask.

     "Yes, I am fine!  Just leave me alone!"  Chloe says. She runs off in tears because she feels embarrassed that her crush saw her with coffee stains on her clothes and a hurt look on her face.  She thinks, great!  Just great, like is not bad enough my own mother hates me!  Why did Lila go and ruin the birthday gift Sabrina gave me?  It is not like Sabrina ever did anything to her!  I mean it, Lila is so cruel!  All she ever does is lie to try to impress people, and she is a worse bully than I ever was!
