It was finally my birthday in the middle of May. I planned with my sister and my friend to have a sleepover together at home and they both said yes. My sister is 21 and lives in London while i'm with my mom, my younger brother Max and me in Brighton. We live happily in Brighton but my dad left us about a year ago. My mom and dad kept fighting so they decided to split up. I only see my dad once a few months because i'm so busy at home and school, i don't get the time to see him. He now lives in London like my sister, i usually take the train and walk to his house which is in the east end of London.
My friend called Ellie came to my house to wish me a happy birthday which I was so thankful for.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY" she shouted outside me door.
"Thank you!" I replied with a smile. She gave me a bag full of presents inside.
"Oh wow, you have really outdone yourself this year Ellie" said my mom, placing her hand on my shoulder "please do come in".
I hurried upstairs to my bedroom with Ellie following me. I placed the bag on the floor while i was sat on the bed with Ellie.
"Open this one first" Ellie cried. I nodded my head and unwrapped the pink shiny paper present.
"Omg!" I shouted and held up the blue friendship bracelet in my hand.
"Thank you so much!" i cried.
"Your welcome" Ellie replied.
I reached my hand in and opened three more presents which were a bag, a book and a pencil case. I saw that there was one more present at the bottom of the bag. I reached my hand in and pulled it out.
"This is my favourite to be honest" Ellie said and laughed. I unwrapped the paper carefully to find two tickets to a show.
"Omg! What is this?" I questioned.
"Well I know you love magic so I bought us tickets to go see a magic show in London" Ellie replied and smiled.
"When is it?" I asked.
"Tonight, don't worry, I already told your mum and she is fine with it" Ellie said.
"What about the sleepover?" I said.
"Well because we are going to London, we are going to stay at your sisters house and have a sleepover there" Ellie replied.
"That's great, we should get packing right away then" I said.
"Of course" Ellie said and smiled.
