a stormy night

i was hiding in my favorite place, behind one of the local in-n-outs hiding from my evil owner brent. he ran the orphanage and i hated him.

i was 16 years old and an orphan. my mom gave birth to me on the steps of brent's home for troubled girls when she was 14. what a slut. i hated her too.

i was hiding from my troubles and wondering where i could get some drugs when i heard voices. some dumb irish man was talking about crash bandicoot while the other two were silent. they didn't think he was funny, so i didn't either.

"hehe, crash bandicoot, he has a funny snoot!" the tall man said. i didn't know how i knew he was tall since i couldnt' see him yet. i think i had psychic powers. my old friend had ice powers and she had just gotten adopted by septiplier last week. so it was possible that i had powers too.

i came face to face with the men i had heard. what the hell.

there was a tall man, the weird one, running away now, laughing obnoxiously. ok.

"look ding dong. a little girl."

"fuck you i'm not little!" how dare that he assumes i'm a little kid! i hated the fat one already.

the other one sighs. "julian." that's when i realized the other one was a real life fucking alien. holy shit.

"holy shit! you are a real life fucking alien!"

"shut up street rat. you can't say that to me, i'm older than you. i bet you belong at brent's home for troubled girls."

his words stung. brent wasn't a nice guy, and it was known. he was in charge of everything in glendale. he was the one police officer, the judge, the owner of the orphanage, and anything else you could think of.

"shut up, meanie!" i sat on the wet ground. i really wanted some drugs, but my dealer wasn't around. what drugs do i do? mind your own business, ugly.

"ding dong, be nice. can we keep her?"

"julian," the alien sighed again. "we can't keep a street rat in our apartment."

"please?" he was quieter. what was his obsession with me?

"ugh, i don't know, julian."

"come on, we know how bad brent is. we can save at least someone from him."

"fuck, idk. i do feel bad for her..."

"since when?"

"well, i know what it's like."

how could an alien know what it was like to be me?

"how do you know what it's like?" the bigger man asked.

"because when the letsplayers invaded planet chicago in the big pink mustache they killed my parents. i'm an orphan julian."

"omg."

"yeh."

"well, can we take her with us?"

"fine, on one condition." the alien said. my ears perked up. i was a badass and didn't like these guys but i would do anything to get away from brent.

"what?"

"we get to name her this." he pulled a notecard out of his pocket and showed it to us.
