"NAYEON-AAAHHHHHHH"

Nayeon rolled over to bed and tapped her alarm clock a couple times only to find out that the noise wasn't coming from there.

"IM NAYEON, MOVE YOUR LAZY ASS NOW!"

Nayeon rolled over once more and fell out of bed, making her sleepiness go away. She started to blink a couple of times and saw Sana's figure on the foot of her bed with a towel wrapped around her head.

"Ya! Do you wanna be late?!"

Nayeon ran her hands through her morning hair and rubbed her face.

"What?" She groggily answered.

"It's the first day. You know? School?" Sana even waved her hand to point the clock trying to get her point across the dumb girl.

When Nayeon's face doesn't show any signs of familiarity with the situation, Sana waved her hand in exasperation and walked out of the room.

"Ugh. Whatever." Sana gave up.

Nayeon, butt still on the floor, looked at Sana's walking figure back to the clock which reads 7:32. A moment later she began to realize Sana's point which made her eyes widen at the realization.

"Shit."

-------------

Nayeon is now running outside the front door of the dorm into the gates. She was battling herself on wether she'll walk back inside or not because she was absolutely sure that her hair was ultimately unkept and her comb was left somewhere in her vanity desk.

But since she was already halfway to the gates, she decided to proceed walking to school and prayed she'll bump into Sana to borrow some vanity kit in her roommate's bag. Come to think of it, she didn't even know Sana's schedule.

When she was outside their gate, she noticed that a lot of people from the other dorms a.k.a 'lanes' are also heading for school.

There are group of people in varsity jackets and gym shoes, people that has large backpacks and carries large textbooks in their arms.

"Oops, sorry."

Nayeon's tripped over something that came from behind and heard those words after. Then there was an opened briefcase in front of her and a guy walking over to pick-up the contents that spilled from inside it.

The guy was wearing a suit and glasses. Nayeon was about to help the guy but he was finished even before Nayeon could bend down.

"Thanks." The guy murmured without even looking at Nayeon, and ran after.

Nayeon just shrugged the behaviour since the guy was obviously catching some time. She just arranged her backpack and proceeded to go to class.

Building E, room 6.
Building E, room 6.
Building E, room 6.

Nayeon repeated her destination like a prayer. She only have a couple of minutes left to make it in time for her first subject.  She was now very regretful for not paying much attention about the school's building arrangement when Sana was touring her a couple of weeks ago. She regrets looking at their shoes too much.

Nayeon looked at her wristwatch when she entered Building E, which is behind the Admin Building. She has 2 minutes left.

She doubled her pace and looked over the door's header. Turns out, her classroom was in the middle of the long hallway. Nayeon scanned the classroom from outside and saw that it was stadium like. The benches are arranged with elevation each row and the front was at the bottom with a podium, and the room is almost full with students chatting. Nayeon gulped. She felt her anxiety kicked in.

Okay, breathe.
It's fine. They don't know you.
Just breathe.

Nayeon's brain was instinctively calming her down and she closed her eyes and mentally counted to three.

"Move along, dear."

Nayeon looked at her back and saw a woman in formal wear holding papers and a book near her chest. It was smiling at hear. Upon realizing that it was her professor, Nayeon automatically did a 90° bow.

"Hey, relax. Breathe dear." The professor said and patted her shoulder.

Nayeon calmed down a little and returned the kind woman's smile.

"Thank you, miss."

Her professor gestured her to go inside which Nayeon did and searched for an empty seat.

----------

Nayeon sat at the middle row since the front rows are already occupied. She wants to be close to the board as possible for her to hear and understand better.

The Professor wasted no time and write on the board. So Nayeon scurried on her bag for her notebook and pen. Clumsy as she is, she accidentally dropped her pen.

"Hey, you dropped this." Someone said.

Nayeon turned to her right and saw the guy who bumped her earlier.

"Oh it's you! Gee, thanks." She said and reached the pen.

The guy gave a 'huh?' expression. So Nayeon added, "You bumped into me at the dorms."

"Oh. Was that you?" Nayeon nodded. "Sorry, I was catching up some time. My name's Jimin. Nice hair by the way." The guy offered his hand.

Nayeon was embarrased and shyly shook his hands. "Nayeon, and uh, thanks."

Nevertheless, Nayeon is glad that she have a new familiar face she could talk to. After they shook hands, she looked at the board and listened to the lecture.

The laptop screen and the papers in the table was tiring Jeongyeon out. It has been 4 hours since she's working on it but it feels like there's a lot more to finish.

She stopped and washed her face with her hands. She stood up and went downstairs to get some snacks and stretch before going back. Jeongyeon noticed that today was rather quiet when usually Sungyeon would play with their dog or sing at the garden.

When she's downstairs, her eyes immediately looked for any traces of Sungyeon. But there was none.

Strange, she thought.

She proceeded to walk into Sungyeon's room and before she could knock, her sister went out of the door clad in a simple beige dress, sneakers and a sling bag. Even her hair was formally tied.

"Hello." Sungyeon greeted.

"You're going out?" Jeongyeon was puzzled. It's been months since Sungyeon set foot outside their house. She would freak out if she saw any unfamiliar face.

"Mmhmm." Her sister hummed in approval.

Jeongyeon eyes wandered from side to side thinking of reasons as to why her sisters was acting very strangely.

"You can't drive." She said instead.

"We have Sungjae dumb dumb."

Sungyeon playfully rolled her eyes at her sister before walking towards the door.

"To where, unnie?" Jeongyeon.

"To Mika." Sungyeon smiled. "Want to come?"

Upon hearing her niece's name, Jeongyeon's heart sank. But of course she can't let her sister see it. So she nodded at her sister instead.
