'Single Quotes' - People speaking through phone/video/mic.

"Sir, the cameras picked up an attack this evening," FRIDAY suddenly spoke, causing half of the team to jump in their seats.

"So?" Clint scoffed. "People get attacked all the time!"

"The attack is of a foreign nature, Sir," FRIDAY continued at Clint's prompting. "A large, black, humanoid creature can be seen biting the face off of one Darren Ivanov, who was a known criminal until 7:46 pm."

The team frowned collectively. They didn't expect that. But they guessed they shouldn't be so surprised.

"Do we know what it was?" Tony asked his AI.

"No, Sir," the AI answered, her tone sounding guilty. "It is not in the database. But, the same creature is well known around central San Francisco. It has been supposedly residing there for the past 8 months. Since the day of the Life Foundation fallout. Crime has dropped by 40% since the creature's first appearance."

Tony stood up from his spot at the dining table and stepped closer to the holographic screen FRIDAY had pulled up. He watched the criminal cower in fear as the giant, muscled, veiny alien stood over him. It reached down and pulled the man up to its face by the front of his shirt. Its huge mouth widened into a nightmarish grin.

'W-w-what are y-you?' the criminal stuttered in fear. 'What d-do you w-want?'

The creature shook the man a little, and the man whimpered. It was playing with its food.

'We... are Venom,' it replied, its voice distorted, as if there were two people, or monsters, speaking at the same time. 'And we are hungry. You're a bad guy. Sucks to be you.'

The creature's jaw widened impossibly, and snapped down around the man's face. Tony stopped the video with a grimace.

"Its voice, Fri?" the man of iron asked hopefully.

"Nothing, Sir," FRIDAY sighed. "I was unable to separate them. But there are defiantly two voices there."

"What about people that arrived in the city at the same time as the thing?" Steve asked, crossing his arms. "Maybe it hitched a ride?"

"Innocent civilian families and businessmen, Captain," FRIDAY informed the group.

The team groaned in disappointment. But suddenly, the machine's voice spoke again.

"Although," all eyes snapped to the screen in hope. "One, Edward Brock, a controversial journalist, arrived by motorcycle 72 hours ago. From what I can find, he was directly involved in the downfall of the Life Foundation, and published a story on the CEO, Carlton Drake, a mere 5 days before the explosion that killed Drake and injured Brock."

The team studied the recent pictures of the man, all taken by security cameras. They noticed his exhausted, closed off expression and his stressed slouch.

"Get me everything on him," Tony demanded.
