What lie ahead of the small, infected vessel was completely unknown, at least to him anyways. Buck's orange eyes darted frantically around the room at even the slightest noise that he didn't think was made by his own, fragile being. His fear and paranoia always got the best of him in situations like this, where he didn't know where he was or what dangers could possibly be in the area.
A sudden, almost demonic sounding screech caught him by surprise, and he screamed in shock and fear as he grabbed his nail from behind his back. He held the slightly infection-stained nail close to himself, the metal from the pure pale ore blade gleaming as if it was bright daylight in the dim room. His breathing quickened in pace, almost to the point where he was hyperventilating. His small body was tense and ready to either flee or fight anything that crossed paths with him.
There was the sudden far away sound of loud footsteps, and a nail being dragged on the ground. Then, in a flash, a nail was thrown right at Buck, straight into his head. Everything went dark, just like that. In so little time..
Buck woke up with a loud scream, quickly sitting up in the bed he rested on. He looked around frantically, trying to see if anything was there to hurt him. But nothing could be seen, he was the only one in the little room he'd made a home for himself in. He sighs and relaxes slightly, hugging his knees to his chest as he thought about the nightmare he'd just had. It wasn't like any other he'd had, they'd been more antagonizing, slow, painful, and hard to understand why it had all happened.
The infected vessel slowly gets onto his feet with a small groan, now wanting someone to talk to about the nightmare, Pale King would be good to talk to..right? Yeah, Pale King would definitely be a good person to talk to about all this! Buck grabbed his nail off the wall and set out for the forgotten crossroads, knowing that's probably where Pale King was at the moment.
