Derek's POV
I'm a pro dancer on Dancing With The Stars and I have a huge crush on one of my fellow dancers. All the other pros know except for Brittney Cherry and Jenna Johnson, her two best friends, and of course the girl herself. And at that moment all the other pros and Mandy Moore are trying to find those three girls.
5 minutes earlier
All the pros are stretching in a circle some of us talking. When Mandy frantically comes into the room and says "Do any of you know where Brittney, Jenna, and Hayley are." All of us start looking at each other realizing that the three girls are no where to be seen. Brandon then turns to me and says "You would know where Hayley was wouldn't you because it looks like you've gotten closer," when he said this all the other pros turned to grin at me. In a poor attempt to get the attention off of my love life I said "No we have not been getting closer but shouldn't we be asking Val or Alan, I mean there actually dating Jenna and Brittney,". Just as there about to answer my phone starts ringing, I announce that it's Brittney, and Whitney and Lindsay tell me to put it on speaker. It's a little muffled when I answer but I say "Hello" and Gleb and Artem roll their eyes at me. "Hey Derek," Brittney answers with a muffled laugh. She must be laughing at whatever is going on at there end. I can slightly hear yelling on the other end and it sounds like their wrestling for the phone. "Hi so you see Jenna's car broke down and we need a ride. And as a lovely reminder Hayley is with us so I'm sure she'd love it if you picked us up." I looked around at the other pros who all look to be holding in either laughs or grins. Sharna and Peeta are looking at me giving me thumbs up. There seems to be more wrestling for the phone when all of a sudden we all stop and stare at the phone in shock when a female voice yells "I'm gonna kill, wait never mind scratch that I'm gonna tell Alan you're pregnant" we then all realize that it was Hayley who yelled that and I put the phone on mute and we all start laughing at the expression on Alan's face. Sharna is laughing so hard she is crying and holding on to Keo for support "I can't believe Hayls just said that" Then Whitney said "She's getting a little defensive about you giving them a ride I wonder why." Then everyone turns to me and smirk knowingly. I unmute the phone and Brittney calmly replies saying "You wouldn't, besides I'm only asking Derek if he'll give us a ride. What's wrong with that?" The response to that shocked us all, and I mean the female pros looked the most shocked that they were just finding out because right then and there Hayley screams "You know I like him!" Both sides of the line are in shock that she actually blurted that out. You could faintly here Hayley saying "I can't believe I just said that" I was the first one on our side to snap out of it so I said "Brittney did I just hear that it's not April Fools Day so..." after that I put it on mute so they would think the call ended. I turn to the other pros and say "It's on mute they think the call ended though" we finally hear Brittney answer saying "It's about time you told him" and Jenna saying "I can't believe you actually did that" and then Hayley yelling "I just did that, I have completely ruined our friendship" Everyone looks at me sympathetically and then Jenna asks a certain question that sparked my interest, "If you were scared you were gonna ruin your friendship by confessing how long have you liked him because you just told us a couple months ago" Everyone and I mean everyone looked interested at this point even Mandy seemed to have forgotten that we are technically eavesdropping Hayley says slightly over a whisper (by this point we could all tell she was crying) "Around five years but he'll never like me like that and now I've just ruined our building friendship" we all felt bad and I felt the worst because I didn't even think of mentioning anything to her. Than Jenna comforted her by saying "Hayley Nicole Erbert if he doesn't like you that way that's his loss but we will help you get threw this." Everyone slightly smirked at me because they all knew I would like her that way. I hung up because I didn't feel the need to continue listening. "Well that was informative," Alan jokes breaking the silence. "Alright while we wait let's just start without them," Mandy quickly said.
10 minutes later
They still aren't here yet so everyone started worrying again until the doors slammed open. Brittney and Jenna came running in but no Hayley came with them. That was slightly troubling. Val asked "Where's Hayley" and at that moment we all realize there tear stained faces. Sharna, Emma, Peta, Lindsay, and Whitney all went in for a group hug. Jenna started to sob loudly and manage to get out "Hayley car driver drunk hit tree" at this point we all were worried and a little confused. Brittney stopped crying and looked over and explained what happened.
