The dark shape swooped down over the murky landscape. It was completely dark, but the shape shone with an unearthly glow, as if it had fallen from the stars.
Talons crunched on obsidian-black sand as the shape came to rest on it; it was a silvery dragon. Its clear blue wings reflected the light of the moon, making it glow. Its eyes also had a glow to them, not beautiful like the moonlight reflecting off its wings, but it seemed dark and malevolent.
The crunch of sand announced the arrival of another dragon, this time a beautiful dark purple.
"Elsse?" The purple dragon said curiously. "What are you doing here?"
Elsse had a wild look in her eyes, and she was gasping for breath.

"When shadow and earth rise to destroy the world,
And moon the earth shall end;
Day will come, and fire will burn
And the earth shall be whole again."
The glow faded from Elsse's eyes, and she hunched over, shivering and gasping. Murke pondered what she had just heard. It was definitely a prophecy, and it definitely did not mean good news.
