Days passed by, Bilal really tried his level best to keep his and her Sarah's conversation alive. This was weird, because earlier he didn't had to do anything, everything was normal. They would speak hours and hours chatting without getting tired. But now at this time, he really had to make a effort to keep the chat alive. He didn't wanted to lose her, so he did something or the other. His situation could be related to that of a person who is dying in water, and does everything possible to save himself. He also did the same thing to save 'THEM.'

He believed that the people who matter, will definitely do an effort to stay, and Sarah meant everything to him, so yeah he was doing his part right. He was going out of the way, but only if she cooperated.

He felt really bad, when he used to get one sided replies such as 'Yeah' 'Fine' 'Okay' 'Hmmmm', but he couldn't do anything. There was not even one day when he asked her "What happened?" "Why are you behaving like this to me suddenly?" "Did I do something wrong?" But she never answered them. She started ignoring him badly. He would get one or two reply after his 30-35 texts. This didn't happen once or twice, but it was daily. Everyday getting ignored, made him weak somewhere. He used to feel low at times, he didn't used to eat at times, he lost interest in mobiles and gadgets and video games. Like can you imagine, a person who loved all this stuff, now doesn't find this interesting. He was already battling many things in his minds. His friends used to call him at times for parties or matches or casually, but he spoke with them, with a bit of less interest. They asked him is he ok? He told he was perfectly fine, faking everything and putting a smile just to show the world he is okay!

Bilal's birthday was approaching real soon. He was quite excited. He managed to cheer himself for this. He had many expectations, and thinking about them again and again gave him immense happiness, like he would just laugh or giggle like idiots, just like the past days. He started imagining all that would happen on his birthday, how he would get up late, his mom shouting asking him to get up, and how he would still continue to sleep. Then how his sister would wake him up irritating and then wishing him. How he would see phone's notifications which would read "Message from..." "You were tagged in..." And then how he would receive a big birthday wish from that one special person who means the world to him. How he would get so happy reading that. Thinking this way he started to build his mood and cheer himself up. He purposely then stopped messaging Sarah for few days, just to check whether she remembers his birthday or not, whether she will wish him or not, whether she will surprise him or not! He could not control his excitement now.

13th September

9:00AM

Bilal got up early today! He usually would sleep more during his vacations. But he woke up early today. Nothing seemed special to him on his birthday.

"It's the same morning, same house, and same old me." He said to himself laughing. His father was getting ready to go to the office.

"Oh you woke up early today!" exclaimed his father.

"Haha, yeah. Miracle I suppose!" He replied laughing. He was sitting in the hall watching tv.

"By the way, Happy birthday beta!" He wished Bilal and hugged him.

"Thank You so much daddy!"

"Okay, I'll catch you after office. Good Bye. Allah Hafiz!"

"Sure why not! Allah Hafiz. Take Care!"

He then continued watching T.V. And while watching he fell asleep. He woke up at 11 then. His mom woke up already by then. He got freshed, had his breakfast and was going back to hall.

"Happy Birthday my child!" His mom wished him.

"Thank you mumma!" He replied.

He thought of sitting in the hall, but then he had an incoming call, so he went to his room to pick the call, it was from Saad!

"Happy birthday brooo...." Saad wished him.

"Thank you buddy!" He replied.

"So what are the plans for you today? He asked

"Ummm, I didn't think yet. Maybe we'll party tonight."

"Haha, sure. No worries. Okay I got to go broo. Talk to you later." Saad said.

"Yeah. No problem!" He said disconnecting the call.

After that he checked his messages. There were so many messages wishing him. He replied them, Thanking each and everyone. He was scrolling his inbox. He was wondering why didn't Sarah wish him till now! Maybe she is sleeping. But almost half of the day is done. He found her name and saw her last seen,

"Why didn't she wish me till now? Let's see till tonight."

Around 7PM, his friends were calling him and asking for treat. He thought of giving tomorrow, but he changed his mind later.

He called 5 of his close friends. He invited them to a good restaurant, because basically he was now sick of eating Pizza, McD and stuff. So he decided for a change this time. He spent some good time with all of them.

On reaching home, the first thing he did was check his messages to see whether Sarah messaged him or not. Because the whole time he was thinking about this. But, she didn't text. This thing broke his heart. He was literally heartbroken. He had so many expectations, but nothing happened, nothing. She meant so much to him, and not receiving a wish from her was like a really depressing thing for him. It was not a matter of wish for him, it was all about the emotions, it was about the expectations, it was about the faith he had, it was about the trust he had, it was about the love. It now became null and void. He was really broke now.
