Two weeks later
"Attention students!, I'd need each and everyone of you to gather for a short assembly.we're going to be graced with the presence of a very influential man and sponsor. So please be of good behaviour and gather for the assembly,Thank you. "Principal Burnley said through the speakers during our geometry class.
"Okay class, you can proceed with your test"my geometry teacher said and we all continued with our tests.
During lunch, Dave pretended as if I was not there, just like I thought he would. Amber and Kayla noticed the tension between us but didn't say anything about it.
Once the bell rang, signalling the end of lunch, the principal announced that it was time for the assembly.
On my way to the hall, I saw a crowd of students gathered at the entrance staring at something my eyes caught something black and shiny but before I could inspect it further , principal Burnley came out and yelled at all the students to go into the hall immediately. We all ran into the hall and quieted down when Mr Burnley gave us a stern look.
"This guy must be really important because I've never seen Mr Burnley this tensed since his wife came looking for him in school" Kayla said.
Before we knew it ,a body guard stepped inside and looked around the room. Of course no one had to tell us to keep quiet. His straight face shut us up. He then moved aside and a young man in a fitted suit walked in and shook Mr Burnley .My eyes furrowed as I looked at the young man from his sleek shoes to his bulgy arms that were evident through his fitted black suit to his black hair and once my eyes landed on his green eyes, I forgot how to speak.
"Hey Av ,wasn't that the car that picked you up from school the other day,outside? Omg that's him,isn't it?!"Kayla said,grinning with her big mouth and Dave turned to my direction in disbelief and then turned away.i just ignored her and looked at Amber who was still frozen .
"What's wrong with Amber?"I asked,worried
"She just witnessed her Man crush forever breathing the same air as she".Kayla said,trying to snap Amber out of her trance.My eyes went back to the stage when Mr Burnley called for our attention and that's when I remembered the situation at hand. ‘Why on earth is Mr Rude here?’ .
"Students I'd like you to meet Mr Shore" My eyes followed his as he came up to the podium and waved at everyone with a smile.i was about to look away when his eyes caught mine and his,held mine for a while before they looked away.
