Dead Bunny hadn't realized that he was surrounded by his friends. They were everywhere, but he had never seen that quote:
"Friends are like stars. You may not always seethem, but they're always there."
When Bunny became Dead Bunny, all the color in the world disappeared. No more green grass, no more blue skies, and no more red roses, or anything with color. Even himself and his friends, who had once been bursting with color, became colorless.
Dead Bunny probably wishes he weren't so Dead anymore. But he's too Dead to wish anyway.
