It was another tough day of work for Katsuki; he had to train underlings, who did not know what they were doing, fight a tremendous trio of villains on his way back to his apartment, and by the time he returned it was almost the next day. Luckily enough he had tomorrow off, but it was very risky business what he was doing.
His keys jingled as he reached for them out of his bag. Katsuki didn't assume his partner was awake, but heard small shuffles around the home. Slowly peeking through the door he had just unlocked, he stuffed the keys into his pocket and surveyed the surroundings.
Their apartment wasn't very large. It had a master room with a bathroom, then a living room which was connected to the kitchen (very tiny that the both of them could barely fit in there together), and by the front door was a small hallway like area with a tinier bathroom and another bedroom. The bedroom was used more like an office for the both of them. There was minimal decorations and usually their fridge was filled with leftovers or take out since much cooking couldn't have been done with both working pro-hero jobs.
Katsuki saw no light except for what little came from the blinds and something from the kitchen. He stepped inside, closing the door behind him softly, and set his bag next to the door while removing his heavy boots. He stared into the kitchen, too tired to notice the light in there was from the fridge. The sound of it closing startled him a bit but not as much as the figure that shuffled quickly towards him.
The figure's fluffy hair bounced as it came towards Katsuki at a slow pace. It wore a large hoodie that in the dark, Katsuki couldn't tell what the design on it was. The figure wrapped its arms around Katsuki and with a soft voice called to him.
"Welcome home, Kacchan," Katsuki could feel Izuku's head rubbing against his chest, which was beating at a far too fast pace but it gradually slowed to its normal speed. He snaked his arms around his tiny lover and kissed his head. "I missed you so much, Katsuki."
Izuku's voice was droggy, like he had just woken up. He wore nothing but his customized Ground Zero hoodie and just some plain boxers he had to use when he ran out of his fanboy boxers.
The two hugged for a while, in the dark, embracing each other's scent like they hadn't seen each other in months. "I wasn't even gone a day, dweeb."
Katsuki finally let go and turned the front lights on to see his husband. They recently married a few months ago, Katsuki could see Izuku's ring glimmer from the light shining on it. He smiled from the memory of their first night as a married couple but was quickly pulled out of by Izuku tugging on his hand.
"What is it, Deku?" Katsuki question but the smaller boy just made noises and tried to tug him more, indicating that Katsuki was supposed to follow him. "You have to use your words, Izuku."
Izuku softly mumbled something before telling Katsuki he had to show him something. Not letting go of the larger man's hand, Izuku pulled him towards the bathroom they shared and turned the light on. He pointed to something on the counter and stayed by the doorway. Katsuki walked to the counter, too tired to question any of Izuku's actions.
On top of the bathroom counter was multiple pregnancy tests, all reading positive. This alerted Katsuki and awoken him. "Izuku?"
He turned around to see Izuku's eyes filled with tears.
"Izuku? You're pregnant?" Katsuki quickly walked towards his husband and placed his hands on Izuku's shoulders. "This isn't a prank, right?"
Izuku shook his head, he couldn't talk or he might start sobbing. Katsuki wiped his tears away and kissed his forehead. He sat him on the toilet seat and rubbed his back, kneeling front of him. His gentle "it'll be okay" and "it's alright"s calmed Izuku down enough so he could talk.
"How did you find out, baby?"
"I've been feeling a little sick lately, so I began over thinking about... about our wedding night, y'know," Izuku started, not able to look Katsuki in the eyes. "Oh god, this is all my fault, Katsuki."
Izuku covered his face with his hands and started crying again.
Katsuki quickly hugged his lover, "It's okay, Deku. Nothing is your fault."
The smaller boy looked to his lover, his cheeks stained red and snot was dripping from his nose. Katsuki was also crying, but it was tears of joy. He smiled and sobbed and he was just so happy for his husband to be pregnant. Izuku didn't know why he was crying and freaked out, asking him what's wrong, and how he can fix things.
"Nothing is wrong, Deku. In fact, everything is so good right now," Katsuki grabbed some toilet paper and gave it to Izuku to blow his nose, "I'm so happy right now. We... we can be parents, love. If you want."
Izuku was in shock. He was so prepared for a lecture from Katsuki about how they should have used protection and if Izuku didn't beg so much they wouldn't be in this predicament. But it was entirely opposite.
"I understand, you being pregnant and giving birth might really trigger your dysphoria. So we can terminate it if you want. It's up to you, Izuku. But whatever decision you make, I'm here for you all the way."
Katsuki was being so gentle and supportive and all Izuku could was cry more and hold onto his lover. Everything was emotional, especially since he wanted to keep a possible child. They sat there in silence for a few while Izuku caught his breath and thought about their future.
Finally as calm as he could be, Izuku shyly spoke, "I want to keep it, Kacchan."
This made Katsuki smile wider than he was before. The idea of a family with this man, the man he loved with his whole heart, just brightens him up. He can't contain his joy and embraces Izuku tighter than before and giving him a kiss on his head.
"I'm so excited to be parents, Deku. Our kid will be great," Katsuki started crying again and wiped his tears on his sleeve. Izuku sat there, wonder struck at his husband, before leeching forward, placing both of his hands on Katsuki's cheeks, and kissing him. This caught Katsuki off guard, causing both of them to topple over to the tile floor, chuckling to each other before Izuku covered his face in kisses.
"I'm in love with you, Kacchan," Izuku chuckled again before sitting on his knees and helping Katsuki to a sitting position. They sat there for a moment in silence, smiling at each other before Katsuki's watch beeped indicating a new hour. Izuku looked at his wrist. Three in the morning.
"Can we go to bed now, Kacchan?" Izuku asked, placing both his hands on Katsuki's left hand. Katsuki nodded before lifting up Izuku and carrying him to their bed. Katsuki left for a bit to change into comfortable clothes; as much as he would love to just sleep in his sweaty hero suit, pajamas were much better for cuddling, which Izuku loved. He came back and smiled at Izuku snuggled into their pillows before crawling to his side and wrapping his arms around him.
"How long were up waiting for me anyways?" Katsuki asked, placing his head in the crook of Izuku's neck, kissing it.
"Since you left this morning," Izuku said groggily, placing his hand in Katsuki's hair and rubbing it.
Katsuki grumbled, tightening his hold on tiny Izuku, "That's not good for our baby, Deku."
Izuku shyly laughed. He took one of Katsuki's hands that was laying just under his chest and kissed it before slowly dozing off, "I love you, Katsuki."
Katsuki pecked him again before nuzzling deeper into Izuku's neck, "I love you so much, Izuku."
