I kick the chair out from under the door and open it, then immediately back away as three zombies try to tumble in at once. With trembling hands I aim for there heads and shoot, flinching anytime I did. As the last one falls to the floor, I stand there staring at them and panting slightly. "Geez.." I whisper quietly then grab the holster, attching it to my skirt and resting the gun in it. Before leaving my parents bedroom, I grab the 4 extra magazines that my dad had, completely full of bullets, then head over to my room right across the hall.

   I grab my backpack and dump every thing out onto my floor, then start packing. I make sure I have my phone and ear buds, and as I pack I check off things on my list in my head;
·Phone + ear buds chargers
·Small blanket
·A few manga's
·A couple extra pair of clothes
·Jacket
·Gloves/mittens
·Small note book and pencils
·Any canned food + food that doesn't go bad too quickly
·A few water bottles
Annd, anything else I needed.

I started my walk towards a certain someone's house, "I just hope that he's alright.." I sigh as I look up at the sky. Almost dark... It's getting late. I quicken my pace and keep looking around for any more of those creatures. When I'm almost at his house, I encounter 2 more. By now, I know what to do. Aim for the head and shot. They fall to the floor, dead. Maybe I'll be alright after all. I quickly jog over to thier house and vigorously knock on the door, then step back and tap my foot, waiting impatiently.

I jump when I hear a bunch of distant screams and start to get more impatient. Just as I was about to barge in, the door opens. As soon as I opens I rush in, slam the door and lock it. "Uhhh, hello?¿" I look at Young and give him a quick smile, "Hi, hey, what's up?- So got any guns??" I speak quickly then start looking for his parents room, with Young following behind me. "Um, no? Remember, my mom won't let us have a gun in the house. Why, what's going on?" I shake my head as I grab his hand and lead him to his room, and place him by his window. "Keep a look out, I'll be right back."

I rush out and into the kitchen, looking through a bunch of drawers. I soon find two of the bigger knives and carefully put them in my bag, then rush back over to Young, "Seen anything yet?" I sit on his bed and look at him. "Seen what?? I'm honestly so confused right now."  I sigh lightly, looking down at the gun I had by my side. "It's time..." "Time for what?? Is something wrong?" I shake my head and look up at him. "The apocalypse. It's here, Young- The zombie apocalypse is here." I say with a worried tone in my voice. His eyes widen and he just looks at me with concern. "But.. How do you know?-" "It hit my house already" I state immediately after.

"Uhm.. I'm so sorry... So, your family-" "I don't know yet. They weren't home." I stand up, walk over to the window and close the blinds. "Pack only necessary items. We need to leave immediately, and find more weapons and food." I walk back out to the kitchen to pack any food(that wouldn't go bad) that I could find. I sigh walking out by the front door, waiting for Young. I lean against the door lightly, "I can hear them..." I whisper hearing all the screams and yells, that are now closer. I growl slightly. Dammit, we probably shouldn't go to that elementary school that's near here. Too many twists and turns and the hallways are kinda narrow.

I jump seeing a sudden hand waving in my face, breaking me from my thoughts and apparent trance. "Geez, jumpy much?? Everythings gonna be alright, trust me." He smiles a bit and hugs me. I hug him back tightly, hiding my face in his neck. "I'm so scared..." I say quietly, as he very slightly sways us to try and calm me down. "Jay baby, as long as we stay close, I'm sure we'll be alright. I won't let anything happen to you, ok?" He pulls away to look me in the eyes. I nod, speaking softly, "Guess that makes the both of us then." I smile a bit. He smiles back, lightly planting a kiss on my forehead, then resting our foreheads together and placing his hands on my waist. "I love you so much." I gently cup his face in my hands, and look into his soft and caring gaze, "I love you so much to."

We reluctantly leave each others embrace, and go outside. "We should move fast. A good majority of them will be quick," I warn as I look around "do you think Hector has guns at his house?" I look at Young as he thinks for a second. "I think so." I nod and we start quickly walking there. We go into the house and to his dads room. "If anything, there will probably be something on the top shelf of the closet." I say I start rummaging around, looking for a gun, then find 2 similar black plastic boxes. I take them over to the bed and open them, smiling a bit. "Perfect."

Hector's dad owns a pistol and another 45, just like mine. I grab the 45 and it's magazine out of the box, and hand them to Young, "Here, you'll need this." He carefully takes it and loads it. "I don't need to teach you gun safety right?" I joke, giggling a bit. "Ha ha, no I already know." He laughs a bit. I nod grabing the pistol, loading it, making sure the safety is on then put it in my bag. Then I start going through drawers and stuff, looking for ammo, and find a good amount of it for all three guns. "Good, we should be alright for a bit." I say as we start walking to the kitchen.

We pack more food and water bottles and all. We look around for anything else that we might need, then leave. As we leave the neighborhood, the silence is finally broken. "Where to next?" Young ask as he intertwined our fingers, and gave my hand a gentle squeeze. "Well... I thought about checking out the elementary school that's up there, but I don't think that's the best idea." I say, looking at the school just ahead. "Think we should try circle k??" I look at him and he smile, "I don't see why not." I smile sweetly and we start out journey to circle k, making sure to keep a look out all around us.

Y'know.. I think Young is right. As long as we have each other, we'll get along just fine, and hopefully find our friends and family. I like to tell myself everyone is alright, so that my anxiety doesn't get the best of me. I'm sure they're doing ok. I'm sure they're more than safe somewhere.
