I was sitting on the edge of her bed at my apartment in New York City reading when my phone buzzed.(Leo made monster proof ones.) It was from Percy.
Meet me outside your apartment at 5:30. Wear a dress.<3
I checked the clock and saw it was 4:00. I took a shower and checked her closet for a dress. The only one there was dark blue with grey stripes. I paired it with some sandals and a grey purse. It was 5:25 so I headed down towards the lobby of my building. I saw him standing in the lobby wearing a white collared shirt, a tie, and black jeans.
"Hey wise girl." He greeted me.
I kissed him on the cheek"Where are we going?"
"Someplace special,"He said leading me out to his car. I got in and we started driving. When we got there I was confused. The car was parked in a little clearing between some trees. I looked at him confused and he just smiled. He took my hand. "This way." He led me through the forest and to a cliff overlooking the sea. On the grass a picnic was set up.
"How romantic seaweed brain." I said sitting down. He brought out some food. Some chicken, strawberries, cans of Dr.pepper, and chips.
We ate and talked until he brought his phone and played "Lucky" Jason Mraz. We slow danced until the song was over. Then we watched the sun set. I looked over at him and saw that he was on his knee holding a ring.
