It's Official

We walked to the park and all took a seat on a swing. I sit there in the silence till someone speaks.

“You ok Alex?” My earlier friend asks. I smile but don’t speak. There is too much on my mind as of right now.

My friends are Suzan Joy Hylander and Summer Leanne Bradley. Suzan has long brown hair that is a waterfall of curls down her back. She has golden-brown eyes and on days they match her hair when it glows in the sun. Suzan has the power of reading thoughts as I said earlier before. Suzan is turning seventeen in about three or so months. I mean today is September 12th and her birthday is on December 17th. Summer has Brown hair that is shoulder length and straight. She has green-blue eyes and has not yet received her powers. She is turning sixteen on October 29th. But I know she will get good powers. She’s so kind and loving (sometimes the differ).

“Summer, Suzan. . . I’m scared.” I say and look at them both. Suzan too my left and Summer too my right.

“It’s ok you will live. No one except me wants to kill you.” Summer jokes and I slap her shutting her up.

“Thanks but I will talk to you tonight. Gotta get going. Bye.” I start running off to home. Suzan and Summer talking on the swings (probably about me).

 

I ran until I needed to catch my air so I began to walk on the side of the road. It was just me until I heard the wheels on the gravel behind me. I turned around to find my boyfriend Kyan standing there. While we aren’t officially dating but he acts as if we were. But I’m not in a relationship because I love Kyan and another guy Josh. But being single helps the situation and I know both Kyan and Josh except this.

Kyan James Block has blond shaggy hair that lays just above his bright blue eyes. He is a skater and a trouble maker. I really like him but as I said I like them both a lot and it’s a tie. Or if it weren’t I could choose. Josh Michael Sanders has short black hair with hazel eyes. He is not a skater or that bad but he is still really attractive. He is sweet and kind and knows how too make me blush when I don’t want to be happy.

“What’s up Alex?” Kyan asks as he wraps his arm around my shoulder. I turn to him and he gives me a quick kiss on the cheek.

“Nothing just walking around. You hear?” I ask as I watch where I am walking.

“Hear what?” He jokes and squeezes my side. I laugh and push him away. He’d be lucky there ain’t any cars that go on this road. This road is old and no one really drives on it.

“You know.” I say back and look at my wrist. He grabs it twirling me around making me lose my balance and I fall in his arms. I laugh and stand up letting him look at my wrist.

“Bout you getting three powers not one or two. If so yes I heard.” I smile and continue walking dropping my hand to my side.

“So what are you doing?” I ask. Kyan has one power. The power to see the future. Which can be good and bad for me. But he doesn’t tell me what he sees and if he sees me it can always change.

“Just skating around. I was hoping I would bump into you.” I smile and feel my cheeks heat up. I hate blushing when I am with them because then it feels wrong like I am cheating. But I know I am not.

“Why would you want to see me?” I ask curious. I look at him and smile. He smiles and I see his eyes sparkle. Never a good sign but it is. If that makes sense.

“Because you make my day complete. I love you Alex. I truly do.” I smile and turn straight.

“I love you too.” I say and blush some more. “Have you heard from Josh? I mean I left my phone at home and I’d like to see him-”

“I’m not enough?” He says jokingly but he has a bit of truth in his voice.

“You are but I like you both and I really want too see you both.” I smile and keep walking. “Have you?” I ask again.

“Nope. We don’t exactly talk much.” I sigh. Ever since I became the one they became separate. They used too be great buds but I got in the way and now they are boys. I mean they say friends but not like before. I only hope they get over it. That’s another reason why I am not dating because the choice I make will hurt one of them. I don’t want to hurt either of them. But instead of going home I was going to go too Josh’s place. It was pretty chilly in the cool breeze but I loved the fall because of the pretty leaves and the smell. Also a bit for the candy.

“You know where I am going right?” I ask curiously.

“Yes. You’re going too Josh’s place.” I smile. He was pretty smart but maybe I made it obvious.

“Can I borrow your phone for a sec?” I ask and look at him. He nods and hands me his phone. I type in Josh’s number and hit send. It rings and then he picks up.

“Alex. . .” He says spreading my name making it long and out there.

“Hi Josh.” I say and giggle.

“What’s up?” He asks.

“The sky. But I was wondering if I could come chill at your place. You there?” I wait and then finally he starts talking.

“Yeah I am home and is it just you or Kyan as well?” I giggle. How did he know I was with Kyan.

“How did you know?” I ask curiously.

“Your on his phone and I don’t think you would steal a phone because you have one for yourself.”

“Oh right.” I say, “Well I don’t know if he is going to stay with me but if he does is that ok?” I ask and in my head I cross my fingers.

“Yeah that’s fine. So how close are you?” He asks. He knows me a little too good and that is either a good thing or a bad maybe even creepy.

“Like a mile left. Wanna meet up or nah?” I ask.

“Nah. I’m in pajamas and don’t feel like changing although I dress to impress.” I laugh and we say good bye. I hand Kyan his phone and we keep walking. My nose red from the wind.

I was wearing pants and a long sleeve that the air was blowing through so I was kind of chilly.

“Here.” Kyan says as he gives me his hoodie. I smile in appreciation and shiver. I inhaled the smell of Kyan and then I kept walking with my nose inside blocking it from this weather.

“You sure you don’t need it?” I ask looking at Kyan. He is wearing torn up jeans and has a light blue short sleeved shirt underneath that makes his eyes pop even more.

“Fine. Rather you be warm than me and I’m tough.” I smile and continue walking. “But you can always warm me up.” I laugh and wrap my left arm around him.

His emotions were warming myself up (and not just my cheeks). They were telling me that he really cared for me and it was warming up my heart and everywhere else in my body. I love him and Josh but I don’t know the future and even if Kyan does it could always change.

Kyan’s birthday was July 1ts so that’s when he got his power but Josh didn’t get his and won’t get his until October 7th. I will be there in the crowd cheering him on.

 

When we got too Josh’s house I didn’t even have to knock he opened the door and invited us inside. I walked in and got the chills. I walked too Josh’s room and laid on his bed. Josh and Kyan walked in after me.

“So you hear?” I ask looking at Josh.

“I was there. I’m always there for you. So can I see?” He asks. I pat the bed and he sits down on my right. He holds my hand and looks at my wrist his fingers tracing over the markings.

“I know you’re always there for me.” I say smiling.

“Of course.” He smiles and I give him a kiss on the cheek.

All I did at Josh’s house was talk and play games. But then I had to go home. Day one was over and now it was day two. Day one of practice.
