FLASHBACK – 2 weeks ago
They jumped from their rooftop, onto the next one over. It was two in the morning, and the city was eerily quiet. They had made their way over to Queens for dinner. Eddie wanted to see if they could catch the spider. Maybe they could write something about the kid. Eddie knew that the spider wouldn't be happy that they knew his real name was Peter Parker.
It was journalist's luck that they had seen the kid run straight from school, and into an alleyway, where he had stripped and revealed the suit.
In a way, he felt sorry for the kid. Incredible powers, yet he was so young. And thanks to the Avengers, he had had so much responsibility dumped onto his shoulders. So, yeah, they held a grudge.
A flash of red and blue tore their gaze from the next rooftop. The spider had seen them, and he was keeping up with them. Venom grinned in pure glee.
"Incy wincy spider..." Eddie sang, giggling, and distorting Venom's voice.
The kid stopped in his tracks, clearly having heard them.
Venom stopped too, turning to face the kid from across the street.
"Hello Mr. Parker," they said, causing the kid to back up a little out of fear. "It's nice to finally meet you. We are Venom."
