Hermione's POV:

After the Battle was over my heart was torn into two pieces, part of me wanted to be with my friends and live the life that they had planed for me with Ron. The other part wanted to run to him, the love of my life, tell him I forgave him for everything and to see if we could get back what had been taken from us. But I had seen him leave with his parents and I knew the road in front of him was long and going to be a fight, so I left instead.  Harry destroyed the Elder Wand and went back to the Castle to morn the loss of so many. Ron tried to stay with me, to comfort me in a way, but I had told him to join his family. They needed him more than I did right now.

Once he was gone and I was left on the bridge alone I had to decide what I wanted. And at that moment all I wanted was my mother and father, so I left. I didn't tell anyone where I was going, I just left. I traveled back to my childhood home and started packing for Australia. I had an idea of where my parents went in Australia, I just had to find them in that area. And hope that they were still there.

After about an hour, I left for the Airport and got on the first flight to Sydney. It took me about two weeks to track them down once I was there. They were located in a wonderful town in northern Australia on the coast called Port Douglas. They were happy so I had a hard time reversing the charm, because of all the worry and stress they had been under when I set it. So after a few weeks of debating, I finally reversed it.

The last two months have been wonderful here in Australia, relaxing and forgetting about everything back home. I'm sure that they are all worried about me since they haven't herd form me in 3 months, but this is what I needed. I needed a holiday from grieving and stressing and trying to keep Harry and Ron alive. I needed to find me again, because I haven't been me in such a long time.

Since before the war even started. The last time I was truly me was the day before Dumbledore died. That was the last night that I spent with Draco, in our own little world, away from everything and everyone. That was the night that he told me after the war was over he would come back to me. Merlin how I wished that was true but too much happened during the war for it to be. If only we could put everything that happened behind us, but we can't. That's when I heard a small tap on my window and saw a small brown barn owl sitting outside. Weird no one knew where I was, so I opened the window and took the letter.

Dear Hermione Granger,

I am pleased to inform you that Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry has been rebuilt and is scheduled to open to students again on September 1. And due to the events of last year we are allowing all students who would have been Seventh Years to return and finish up their schooling the proper way. Attached to this letter are the supplies that you will need for this school year if you so choose to return in a few weeks. I do hope that you return this year to finish your time here in a positive way.

Sincerely,

Minerva McGonagall

Headmistress of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

P.S.

Hermione, I hope this letter finds you well. We are all worried about where and why you ran off without telling us. I do hope you will return this year because I have selected you as Head Girl. Though if you don't plan on returning please let me know soon so other plans can be made.
