Chapter 8

Ambers POV
I wake up and Hayes is still sleeping. I get up carefully not to wake him up and I make my way to his bathroom. I look at myself and I look like a mess. I go to start the shower and let it warm up as I get undressed. I get in and start to sing this song I made up.
"Every minute of every hour I miss you I miss you I miss you oh." I wash my body and hair. I then start to shave my body.
"What's gonna be left of the world if your not in it, what's gonna be left of the world ohh." I continue to sing and wash my body one last time before I get out. I brush my teeth as I wait for my hair to dry. I get dressed and put on deodorant and perfume. I brush my hair and walk out.
"Morning beautiful." Hayes said while waking up and rubbing his eyes.
"Morning Hayes." I say
"You have a beautiful voice by the way. You should sing more often." I get embarrassed because I didn't think anyone was listening.
"Thank you but no." I say and he pouts
"Why not you were really good. I loved it." He says to me holding my hand.
"I don't sing very often. Especially in front of people. I get to shy."
"Well I loved it. I'm gonna hop in the shower real quick." He said walking away. I lay down on the bed looking at the ceiling. I think I like him but I'm not sure if he really likes me. Maybe he is doing it so I won't kill myself... I look at the clock seeing it's only 6:30. I look over and see a shirtless Hayes in sweatpants walk out of the bathroom. I couldn't help but stare at him. He has a nice body.
"Like what you see?" He says smirking
"No I uhh..." I say nervously as he laughs
"It's okay stare all you want. I don't mind" I just roll my eyes and move to the edge of the bed.
"You hungry at all?" He asks
"No I'm good thanks though."
"Amber come on you gotta eat something."
"I'm not hungry." I say grabbing my water bottle on his nightstand.
"Well you wanna go downstairs with me while I cook everyone breakfast?" He asked
"Sure." I nodded and got up. He held onto my waist as I walked.
"Hayes I got it I'm fine." I say to him
"I know but just in case you know." We finally get downstairs and I'm already tired. So I lay my head down on the counter for a minute or 2
"You okay Amber?" Jack asked rubbing my back and moving some hair behind my ear.
"Yea I'm okay just a little tired and my stomach isn't feeling good either." I say to him
"Well maybe you should rest." He said
"No I sleep all day long everyday. I don't want to lay in bed all day. It gets boring." I say
"Well maybe you should eat something so your stomach wouldn't hurt. You haven't eaten in 2 days Amber. That's bad." Hayes said
"I have gone longer without eating. And I'm not hungry." I say once again
"Well maybe just eat a little bit of eggs?" Jack said. I don't really eat anymore because people are always calling me fat so I stopped eating to loose the weight and all.
"Jack I'm not hungry." I say
"I don't care your eating." I hear Grayson say.
"How do you expect to get healthy and strong again when you won't eat? So just eat please." Grayson said looking me in my eyes smiling.
"Fine." I sigh rolling my eyes.
"Good I'm happy you caved." Hayes said passing me a plate of food. He gave me less then the guys because I didn't want that much but I ate it and I could feel my stomach turning. I get up and go to the nearest bathroom as quick as I can. I slam the door shut and go to the toilet. I start to puke up everything I ate. It burns my throat and I try to stop but I keep throwing up. I hear a knock
"Amber. You okay?" Hayes asked
"Umm yea I'm okay." I responded
"You sure? Let me in so I can help you."
"I don't think you want to see this..."
"I don't care about that Amber I want to help you now just open up so I can." I open the door and he comes in and walks over to me.
"Hey you okay?" He asks
"Yea my stomach just was hurting and I threw up I guess." I start to puke again and he rubs my back and holds my hair back
"Let it out you'll feel a lot better soon." I stop and just put my head down.
"You all done now?" He asked I nodded
"Well I will go get your toothpaste and toothbrush for you so you won't taste it anymore okay." He says wiping a tear away.
"Okay thank you." After I say that he walks out. I don't understand why he was in here. It was gross and nasty looking. I look gross.

Hayes POV
I walk upstairs to get Ambers things. I grab it all from the bathroom and walk back down. I knock on the door and she lets me in.
"Here you go." I say smiling at her
"Thank you Hayes but you didn't have to come in here. It's all gross and nasty." She says
"I wanted to help you. You think a little throw up is going to run me off? I'm here for you no matter if your puking or bleeding. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. Now brush your teeth and stuff I'll wait on the couch for you." I leave and let her do her business and what not. She walks out and I get up.
"Want to go lay back down upstairs?" I ask
"Yes please." She says I pick her up and she wraps her legs around my torso and arms on my neck with her head in the crook of my neck. I smile to myself as I feel her getting closer to me. We get to my room and I set her down.
"Are you staying with me?" She asks
"Yes I will stay if you want me to." I say laughing.
"How come you always want me here. You know the other guys might want to spend time with you too." I say laughing
"I seriously doubt it." She says
"Why would you say that?" I said confused
"I'm just not the type of person people voluntarily hang out with or talk to."
"Amber yes you are. I talk to you and I'm not forced. I love talking and hanging out with you. You are the best part of my day and I bet that the guys feel the same way as well." I say smiling at her. She always attack's herself.
"Hayes I don't want to get into it right now..."
"No Amber, you shouldn't be putting yourself down like that. You are perfect but you don't see that but I'm going to try like hell for you to. Everybody in this house right now loves you and I know that love is new to you and that you don't trust easily but we love you. No one is going to hurt you and if they do they will have to answer to me and my brother okay." I say
"Thank you Hayes but you don't have to say that stuff. I know you guys are being nice to me so I won't kill myself or do anything stupid."
"That's not why we are only being nice to you. We are doing it because we care about you Amber but all those negative thoughts going through your head and all the pain you've been through won't let you see that."
"Thank you. And I know I say that a lot but thanks." She says
"You are welcome. Now let's get you to sleep okay. I'll be here when you wake up." I say pecking her cheek as she smiles softly.
"Okay" as she said falling asleep. I soon did as well.
