Prologue

She strutted down the cold street, her head held high and a determined glint in her eye. Clinging to the warmth of her oversized coat, she sauntered into the small coffee hub. It was nearly time for her long awaited meeting.

"Hi there." A young man approached her, a goofy grin on his face hoping against hope that this was the young lady he was supposed to meet.

"Sorry, I would love to chat but I'm waiting for someone. Um, I can't quite remember his name but if you happened to see anyone looking around I would love it if you informed me." She reprimanded.

"Well, I just so happen to be waiting for someone as well. Her name is Lilith Russell. You don't happen to be her, do ya?" He questioned with a smirk sitting down across from her.

"Oh.. I'm terribly sorry. Yes, that is I. You see, I was kind of expecting someone more-" she cuts off her sentence. "Never mind. What is your name again? I don't have the best memory when it comes to names without a face to go along with."

"Lucas. Lucas Adams." He gently kissed the back of her hand.

"Ah yes, Lucas. I remember now." She replied pulling her hand back. "Now, did you get the information I needed?"

"Yes ma'am. I got everything in this folder." He slid the beige file across the table.

"Very well. Please inform him that I'll be in touch soon." Lilith replied standing up and strutting out of the somewhat empty coffee hub.

Stepping out into the wintery weather she approached her chauffeur and climbed in the vehicle. Sitting back in the leather seat she relaxed and examined the file. Justin Gamble. Ah, yes the first person on my list. She thought to herself. Thinking of the name she flashed back to their first, and only, encounter.
