The curious case of Miss Clover Evergreen (UNCOMPLETED)

Chapter 2: the knife

Present day.

Cordelia left the detectives room, she walked down the hall, everything reminded her of Clover. The lockers, the smell of the shitty canteen food,the  sound of people walking even the goddamn teachers, were reminders of Clover.

Daisy still hasn't shown up at school, everyone guessed that she's still grieving over Clover.

Cordelia opens her locker inside was a picture of her,Harley, Daisy, Winter and Clover. Cordelia wouldn't stop looking at Clover's face. Her long, shiny locks of blonde hair gorgeously resting on her shoulder. Her freckles are perfectly dotted on her face. That smile, oh my god that smile, it could light up 1000 cities.

Cordelia slowly walked to her Biology class. She sat between Winter and Harley.

Cordelia: still no sign of Daisy then, eh?

Harley: nope, she hasn't responded to either of our very demanding texts either.

Winter: so what did the detective have to say?

Cordelia: she asked me about who went upstairs with Clover, and just stuff like that.

Harley: right.

Fifteen minutes later, the detective enters the class room.

Detective: sorry to interrupt, but can Miss Cordelia Foxx, Miss Winter Anderson and Miss Harley Brown be dismissed, it's urgent.

Mrs Nores: of course, take your things with you girls.

The trio exchanged looks. Then packed away their things into their rucksack. They followed the detective out of the room. She sat them down in the principal's office.

Detective: we have found some evidence that might be related to the disappearance of Miss Evergreen. This knife.

The detective shows them all a picture of a knife with R.W. Engraved into it.

Detective: do you know anyone with the initials R.W?

Harley: Rain Walker. Kit's eldest sister. She does a lot of farming so her dad got this for her 16th, last year October 21st.

Winter: how the hell do you know so much about Rain?

Cordelia: stalker alert.

Harley: Rain is my sister Charlotte's best friend. She comes over every Friday for dinner.

Cordelia: ah.

Detective: so we have two suspects; Daisy Grigg and Rain Walker. Is Rain present in school today?

Harley: yes, she dropped Charlotte and I off at school this morning.

Detective: I won't be a moment.

Five minutes later, the detective brought in Rain Walker. Rain had blue hair and light brown eyes.

Detective: take a seat Rain.

Rain sat down next to Harley.

Detective: this is your knife, correct?

Rain: correct.

Detective: it was found at Kit Walker's house, in his gym. Were you present at his spring break party, on May 18th.

Rain: no m'am.

Detective: what was your knife doing in the gym?

Rain: I keep it in my bedroom draw, for farming, but I never told anyone were I kept it.

Detective: well the forensics are taking some testing as we speak, to see who's fingerprints are on the knife. I'm afraid to say Rain, but as it's your knife, you and Daisy Grigg are suspects on the disappearance of Clover Evergreen.

Rain: please m'am, I would never hurt a fly.

Detective: I'm sorry Miss Walker. You are free to leave.

Rain nervously got up and walked back to class.

Detective: as for you three, stay out of trouble.

Cordelia: yes m'am.

The trio left the office, and didn't speak a word on the way to lunch.

The three all sat down at a table next to the window, staring into the forest . The five would always go there after school, it's beautiful. Clover once found a fawn, it was the most adorable thing ever.

There was suddenly a loud gasp, everyone turned around.

Winter: no Fucking way.

It was her, Daisy was back.
