"Move!"

The brunette beauty was pushing her way through a crowd of acne prone teenagers, all gawking at their queen bee.

God i'm gonna be late. Dumb alarm.

Ring ring.

Fuck the bell. her class was only a few steps in front of her, all she had to do was reach out and..

SLAM

Her english teacher had already shut the door. Ugh cranky old lady. The brunette stepped towards the door and let her knuckles collide against the wooden surface. The door swung open and she was met with an annoyed expression.

"Care to explain why you were late Ms.Luna?"
She gave the old woman an equally annoyed expression.

"I didn't want to be here."

And she quickly walked past her and to her designated seat towards the back of the classroom. She slouched down in her seat, feeling an on coming migraine.

Today was not going to be fun.

-

The expression on her face said it all. As she strutted down the hallway, students immediately dispersed, not wanting to feel the fury of their queen, especially when she was in a bad mood.

All except for one.

"Charlotte!"

The brunette turned around to be faced by none other than her best friend. The sight of the other girl instantly bettered her sour mood as her lips quirked up into a soft smile. Her positivity was almost contagious.

Almost.

"Hey Cindy." She mumbled. The other brunette linked arms with Charlotte as they walked together to the cafeteria.

"What's with the sour mood?" Cindy asked.

Charlotte sighed. "Mrs.Landrey, I swear she has it out for me." Cindy giggled. "Maybe if you didn't show up late to her class everyday she wouldn't be so upset with you." Charlotte pouted "It's not my fault her voice sounds like a cracked record, and she looks like a decomposing dinosaur."

The two strolled into the cafeteria like they owned it. Which they practically did as the two most popular girls at school. They were an odd pairing though.

Charlotte Luna, intimidating was her middle name. The entire student body and probably a majority of the teachers were terrified of her. Her group of "friends" stayed with her only in the hopes of raising their social status. Although her personality appeared to be rancid, her beauty made up for almost all of it. Her light brown hair that was almost blonde, flowed down her shoulders reaching just below her shoulder blades. High cheek bones complimented by a small, slightly up turnt nose and plump lips. And last but not least, piercing green eyes that resembled that of a forest.

Everything about her screamed authority and dominance as her father was one of the most successful ceo's in the world, running a long chain of casinos. This also meant that he was rarely home however, and if he was he wouldn't be for long. That left her to mainly care for herself, relying on the maids and such that scurried in the gigantic home.

Cindy Mata on the other hand was an absolute ray of sunshine. As student council president and cheerleading captain, she gained the respect of many and was admired by all. Her radiance was contagious and small waves and smiles were thrown her way everywhere she went. The equally beautiful brunette also had brown hair but it was much darker and slightly wavy, reaching her mid back. Her naturally tan skin due to her hispanic heritage was complimented by warm dark brown eyes and a small straight nose.

No one quite understood how someone so kind and generous could possibly be best friends with someone so manipulative and intimidating. However, the ice queen they all knew never used to be this cold.

As the two seated at the lunch table, the entire table bombarded them with greetings. Well mostly bombarded Cindy with greetings, the rest of them mainly gave Charlotte a polite smile as they were too scared to directly speak to her, hearing of her foul mood.

Shortly after they sat, Charlotte felt another presence to her left. Upon looking she was in fact correct as she saw a tall blonde wrap his arms around Cindy. Giggles began to escape the cheerleader's lips as he began to pepper her cheek with kisses.

Charlotte just rolled her eyes. Liam was Cindy's boyfriend. His structured and boyish features made him particularly attractive along with his striking electric blue eyes. With his tall and muscular build, all the girls swooned over him. He was the basketball team's captain so it only made sense that the two dated.

Charlotte of course never saw all the rave about him. He was good looking, sure, but so average. Not that she had anything opposed to him, but she was certain that the two didn't belong together. However, Cindy seemed happy with him, and that was all Charlotte cared about.

He took the empty seat next to Cindy and the table began to buzz with boring chatter. Candice, one of the cheerleading bimbos spoke up.

"I'm hosting a beginning of the year party at my house this Friday night. You guys should come!"

God not another party. Charlotte detested parties. Hundreds of drunk and sweaty teenagers grinding up on each other in one place was not exactly her scene. But before she could decline, Cindy interjected.

"Of course we'll go, right Char?" Char was always the nickname she used when she wanted something.

"Of course" Charlotte smiled sweetly before quickly contorting into her usual scowl. "not." she said as she continued to eat the salad that her maid had packed for her this morning. Cindy only pouted and encircled her arms around her friend's waist from the side.

"But it's the first party of our senior year and I wanna spend it with you." The green eyed girl rolled her eyes. "The only thing you're going to spend time with at that party is a bottle of tequila. I'm not going and that's final."

Cindy's pout only grew as she detached herself from the now even more aggravated brunette and continued to eat her lunch silently, not even sparing the green eyed girl another glance. The rest of lunch continued that way until the Spaniard upped and left for her class at the signal of the bell, not even bidding goodbye.
