Steve
I held her close as she slept and I was getting a little sleepy too but I was happy when the movie was over. I said goodnight to the team and made my way to my room holding her in my arms. I laid her down on the bed carefully.
"Steve?"
"It's okay sweetheart".
"Cuddle?"
"Course".
I made my way over to her and we got under the covers and she laid her head on my chest. I kissed the top of her head.
"I'm sorry I fell asleep during the movie you're just really comfy".
"No need to be sorry doll. It's okay. I was about to fall asleep to with you cuddled up next to me".
"What do you like about me Steve?" She asked as she grabbed my hand.
"Oh my sweet doll face. I like everything about you. Your beautiful baby blue eyes, your smile, your laugh and your kisses".
"I like everything about you too Steve", she said sleepily.
"I think it's time we go to sleep Athena".
"Okay hun. Night".
"Good night sweetheart".
I kissed her goodnight and she fell asleep first.
I laid there awake just holding her in my arms and feeling her slow breathing. I still wondered how I was this lucky to find someone else. Sure I had others I did like but I haven't felt this happy since Peggy.
Wait was I falling for her already. No way.
I looked back at her and I smiled.
Maybe just maybe I was at least slowly.
