chapter 1

introduction

It looked set to become even hotter in the afternoon, and all your stereotypes for England completely vanished as you left the London City Airport to find your friend's car parked by the busy road outside the building. The heat was actually quite surprising since you had expected rain, a dark sky and gray streets. 

You greeted your friend with a huge smile, stretching over the gear lever to give her a big hug as your second friend, Hannah, who had flew with you from Florida, jumped in to the backseat.

"It's so nice to see you again, you two!" She cheered while she started to drive after the other cars.

"Really missed you,  Ava. This is so fucking exciting." Hannah responded, looking through the window with big honey-brown eyes. "This is so weird. Think about it. We've joked about this for years. And it's fucking happening. We're doing this. Oh my god." 

"It's surreal." You simply said, sighing. You three had been best friends since you started highschool together and your plan had either been to move to London together to study or move to Amsterdam and become strippers if things didn't go as planned.
Luckily Ava's father worked alot outside the country and often went on business trips to Great Britain and had alot of contacts all around the globe.

"Wait, so what's legal here and what's not."

"Pffft I don't think any drugs are legal here." You admitted with a giggle.

"What?" Ava seemed surprised.

"Yeah, the fuck did you expect." 

"What about MDMA?" Ava said with a worried voice.

"Stop."

"Ecstasy?" Hannah added.

"That's the same thing?" 

"Well... molly?" Hannah mumbled. 

"Is you for real? SAME THING"

Ava made a turn to the left, further into London. Your apartment laid by Themsen, in the middle of the city. This was going to be the best years of your lives alright.

The car loudly played Armed and Dangerous and you all sang along with high voices. All the way to the parking lot close to Riverside Walk. Clock was 9 PM and the sun was starting to set.

You jumped out of the car, grabbing some of your bags. You would impossibly be able to grab them all at once.

You looked around your new home. The flat was bright and open with a view above Themsen. Looking through the big windows you could see the busy streets with humans enjoying London.
Upstairs was two bedrooms and a bathroom, a walk in closet, an open space where you had put a TV and sofa.
Downstairs was a kitchen with a well-stocked fridge, one bedroom, one big bathroom,  and another open space of a living room to put other furniture including another couch with another TV.
Safe to say you all were blessed with parents who earned good money of their jobs. You continued down the stairs, wearing a yellow hoodie and a pair of gray nike sweatpants. Ava stood in the kitchen with her blonde hair up in a ponytail, leaning on the white kitchen counter. There seemed to be a journal on the marble white countertop which Ava was looking at. 

"Oh, good morning! Didn't notice you coming down." Ava flinched when you stepped into the kitchen. 

"Good morning, whatchu doing?" 

"I wrote a list of things I wanted to do today. A list. With a pencil." She quickly replied. Ava seemed to be pleased with your question. "First of all I want to go to Mc Donalds."

"What."

"Yes. And then I'd like to just walk along the river. I'd like to see Big Ben. Omg. London Eye. We need to check out the stores, and I heard that they're alot of clubs around!"

"Jesus christ. It's me and Hannah's first day here, you really need to chill out. We have years and years to do all that."

Ava rolled her eyes. "You are so boring."

"I wanna go to Mc Donalds tho. And take a walk along the river." You told her with a slight smile, looking at the coffeemaker. Yay, Ava had just done some fresh coffee.

"Awesome! Oh, and you have to meet Charlie!" Charlie was Ava's new boyfriend, they had been together for about a month now. And oh. Ava had been in London for about a month now.

"Oh my god yeees," You replied, grabbing a Blue Italian cup, pouring the hot coffee into it, "I hope he doesn't dislike me tho."

"Who could possibly dislike you?" Ava rolled her eyes, bumping you with her elbow. "Come on."

You giggled and shook your head. "Is Hannah awake?" You quickly tried to change the subject, you really didn't want to fish for compliments. 

"Yeah, she was here ten minutes ago but went upstairs again."

"Oh ok." You mixed the coffee with milk and leaped up on the counter, glancing down the window, enjoying the view of, well, London. "I still can't believe that we're doing this."

"We're going to have so much fun. Think about all the cuties in College as well."

"You got Charlie!!" You turned your head back to Ava, frowning but with a slight smile.

Ava chuckled in her cute way and shrugged. "Yeahhh, I knooow. But still. Well at least you and Hannah might find some dude."

"Assuming sexualities are we now." Hannah appeared behind the doorway. "Just kidding. I smelt coffee. Oh look."

"Good morning!" You greeted her and she mumbled it back. "Are you joining us on a walk to Mc Donalds?"

"Oh fuck off. Mc Donalds???"

"Yeah?"

Hannah tilted her head at you with an ironic smile. "You're in London and you want to go to Mc Donalds. Wow."

"Oh we can head to some fancy restaurant tonight, alright. But I just want to show you all around first. And Mc Donalds will be a great start."

This is just kinda quickly written at 1 AM, sorry if it's messy. You'll get to meet Allexx in the next chapter i believe :)
