Deep in a cave, in a mountain where no one dared to travel to, was a group of sisters, each with a power to see. The oldest, with the power of seeing the possibilities of the future. The second sees the truths and the lies, and the youngest recites the words of the goddess of the night, Nisha.
While the second sister is generally with the Royals, helping the families see what is truth or lie, tonight the second sister is with her older and younger sister. The first sister is sitting in temples, giving vague fortunes to people that pay a price. Although she makes this a game, if the human is nice enough to give her more than what was asked, she would tell of the most luxurious future, one that would shine a light of hope. The third sister is rarely seen. She dwells in her cave in the mountains, waiting for Nisha to speak to her. To see if any sort of disaster would come their way. Rarely does the third sister get visitors unlike her older sisters. However, tonight was different.
The first sister jolted awake from her sleep.
"Sister!" she yelped in the cave, her eyes wide with a vision.
The second and third sisters woke up from their beds and made their way to the first sister.
"Oh please, I bet it's just a back cramp again Sister," the second sister yawned. "Nothing happened to your back, I promise."
"I don't think that's it Sister." The third sister nudged the second sister, her eyes wide open, the sign of her sleeping was gone.
"She's having a vision."
"This hasn't happened in five centurie,." the third sister said in awe. Suddenly, the third sister glowed, her eyes becoming solid black.
The second sister groaned, "Why didn't I get a power like this?"
She crossed her arms and watched as the first sister finished seeing her vision, shushing her, and continued to watch the third sister recieve a message from Nisha.
The third sister breathed in a long breath before she bellowed out, "YOU THREE."
The first and second sister jolted and bowed from their waist.
"I GIFTED YOU WITH POWERS THAT NO OTHER BEING IN THIS WORLD HAS, AND YOU USE IT TO ENTERTAIN TEMPLES AND TO SATISFY ROYALTY?!"
The two sisters stayed silent as the goddess scolded them like a mother. The third sister's voice was no longer her own. It shook the entire cave, pebbles coming down from the ceiling because of the vibration and echoes of her yelling.
"I HAVE WATCHED FROM ABOVE HOW YOU TWO WOULD PRANCE AROUND WITH THE ROYALTY AND GIVE FORTUNES TO THE POOR LIKE IT'S JUST SOME MEASLY POWER. BY THE GODS, HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND?
"I HAVE NOT APPEARED IN FOUR CENTURIES AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS TO MY OFFSPRINGS?"
The third sister heaved, she panted for a few moments to catch her breath.
"Anyhow, I have a message to warn you mortals, as much as I love solving riddles, and giving you riddles. However, I'm not giving you a riddle, rather, I'll tell you very vague things for you to figure out what the cure of the curse will be.
"An old curse will reawaken, one that turns the world upside down. Winter will be warm and sunny, and summer will snow. The night will be day, day will be night. The cure for this is to find the balance. The balance of two sides coming together to create one.
"When the stars start taking flight, you know the cure is in this world. The stars will point you to a direction. Follow it, and the cure will be there, but with a price."
"What price?" the second sister raised her head slightly.
"Did I order you to stand back up?"
"Apologies."
"You'll have to find out yourselves."
The third sister stopped glowing. Her eyes turned back to normal and she blinked.
The other two sisters straightened up. The second sister grumbled. "I don't get powers like you two, and she still calls me her offspring."
"What measly powers does she mean?" the first asked.
"I don't know, maybe seeing into the future, or maybe getting direct messages from the goddess herself." The sarcasm in the second sister's voice was so apparent, even a baby would catch it.
"I don't think so. Maybe the immorality?" the first sister questions, her face serious.
The second sister shot her a glare. "Bitch," she muttered.
"What did Nisha say?"
"Basically some old curse will come back, but we're not sure what though. There have been many. Oh, and there's a cure that the stars will point us to," the second sister answered yawning. "Can we go back to bed?"
"What did you see sister?" The third sister asked the first sister.
"A baby."
"A baby!?" the two sisters screamed.
"No, no, not from me, or you," she cackled. "A baby was born today."
"In the dead of winter? That's weird."
"A little, but I don't know the significance of that baby. There are probably many others that were born today."
"Bah, whatever. Let's sleep on it. I hope Nisha gives me good dreams tonight," The second sister grumbled and stalked back to her bed.
"Does she ever?"
Hello everyone!
So this is a new story that I have been trying to create. The idea of it all came when I was literally laying in bed, and I was soooooooo tired, but for some reason I couldn't sleep right. And idk, the brain does weird things, and I was physically and mentally tired but NO.
My brain was like HAHA YOU WISH BISH. So it gracefully gave me character designs and background info that I spent another hour writing down so I don't forget. By the time I was done it was one in the morning lol.
Anyways I know this first one is a little short, and I'll try to have a chapter done once a week. Usually by the end of the week? idk yet.
IF YOU ENJOYED PLEASE LIKE AND SUBSCRIBED wait i'm not on youtube.
Y'all have a great day/night/evening/morning/etc...
