15. ♡ Bad news ♡

Alia's P.O.V
I arrived at the mansion of my parents. The ride towards India was quite nice. Sidharth and I met in the plane and we sat next to each other. He watched his movie and I watched my series. But we both ended up sleeping on each other. Afterwards he went his way and I went my way. I came home with my bodyguard. He had picked me up from the airport holding an huge sign saying Alia Bhatt. My bodyguard isn't a hottie, but he is kind. Except when you behave rude with him. Then he turns into a monster.

As I arrived at the mansion of my parents I saw my mother approaching.

"Hi darling!" She kissed me on my cheek and smiled. "How was your trip? I missed you so much."

"It was good mom. How are you?", I asked while I pulled her into a hug.

"I'm good honey. Come quick. Your dad is waiting for us."

We walked though the gate and I entered the mansion. I saw my dad sitting on a sofa. He looked very happy.

"Hi my sweet Alu. How are you?"
He stood up and walked to me. He pulled me into a hug. "It's been so long Alia. So long since you visited us!"

"I know dad. I've been very busy with acting and then I got ill."

"Oh yes. You weren't in state to travel as were we. But how are you now?"

"I'm better now thank you."

A maid walked to me. "Ma'am here are your clothes. He is coming in an hour!"

I roll my eyes. "Mum, how many more will come?"

She smiles a bit uneasy. "Alia, we really want you to find a groom before you turn 28. Please."

I walk to her. "But mom, this is not the correct way. I already have had 19 proposals. I'm tired of it! Mom, I want to find love. But not this way."

"Alia... this one will be the last one. He is a good guy." She grabs my hands and pulls them into hers. "Just give him a chance. You never know what might happen. Please. Just say yes and we will never trouble you again with this.
Your father is worried about you. He sees you not as much as he is used too and that makes him uncomfortable. He misses you. And now you're refusing to get married. What will you do your entire life?"

"I'll buy a house and go live in the Himalayas."

"No joking Alia. I'm serious. All relatives are talking about it. When will this girl marry? Remember grandpa's last wish? He wished to see you marry from above before you turn 27. That is in a bit more than a year. And we have t found a suitable groom yet. Alia, it was his last wish. We need to start preparing."

I sigh. Whenever I complain she always tells me this story. Can't she see that I don't want to get married?

"Mom who cares if relatives are talking? They'll always talk. It's my life!"

"Alia.. say yes please. It was his last wish."

"But mom. He is blonde and has-"

"The boy changed. It is a Indian family now"

"Mom..."

"Alia please.."

"Fine. It is a yes from me. Can I atleast see him?"

"Yes, just follow me."

I arrived as soon as I could. My family doesn't call me often. Mom and dad call me sometimes but that's it. So I actually was quite surprised when I got their phone call.
