Chapter 1

Sans pov

I was walking home from grillby's, drinking ketchup. Life is good, i suppose. Papyrus is learning how to make spaghetti with undyne, and mettaton is dating him now, which i don't like. I never really liked mettaton, and for him to date my brother? Tsk, why should i bother and try to ruin his relationship anyway? It's not like i've ever known what it was like to love. 

There's also this child called frisk?Yeah, she free'd us.But some of us are still staying in the underground, so frisk is staying too.If that's what she wished. She lives with toriel and flowey. But i hardly see 'em. I'm getting along with the flower too, we all know that he's asriel now.But we can't tell tori, she'd be too heart broken that her son was experimented on in a lab, alphys' lab, and turned him into a  cold-hearted lifeless flower, that cannot feel, and cannot choose to feel either way.

I learned this out from one day when we was all hanging out, toriel had gone out and frisk had standed up and cleared her throut.We all looked at her,  and she began to tell us about flowey and the experiment, we all was mad at alphys for a couple of seconds, but then we forgave her. I was going to go tell tori the news, but frisk had stopped me.She told me that "If you tell toriel that flowey is her son, she'll be utterly heart broken! Please sans, don't tell her." I really hate promises, which is what she meant. But i sighed and nodded.She smiled at me.

I continue to drink my ketchup as i see my house in the distant. Man, walking sure is boring. My brother told me to do better at not being lazy, but that's just how i am. So i teleport to the house door, and open it.I see a figure in the kitchen, but the house is too dark to see it.All i can see, is two shining red eyes.

"Hello sans.Mist me much?" I snicker a little at that pun.I turn the light on to see chara.But, she looks different. She has a green hoodie and a t-shirt that looks similar to mine. "Chara...Did you dye my clothes?" She jumps off the kitchen counter with her knife in her pocket. She walks up to me and boops me on the head. "Oh sans, you would never wear these!You're king." Chara folds her arms and looks up at me. How am i a king?Asgore is the king of the underground, and i could never even be a king!I'm lazy sans, sans the skeleton.The lazy brother compared to my energetic brother! "At least, not in this timeline." "Timeline...?" Chara looks up at me and smiles. "Right, you're a new sans.I'm chara. I'm from another timeline, i'm you from another timeline. That's why i look like you. Frisk must've reset. Because once i stabbed her, i ended up here." She tried to kill frisk?! Why would she ever do that frisk saved us. "What are you talking about "stabbed her?!" did you try to hurt her?" Chara glares at sans. "You may have the pacifist frisk, but my world is left with the genocide frisk!Every reset, day and day after day after DAY! She kills my brother, my parents, my friends, and before i can get to any of them, they're DUSTED! Every single monster is dusted, accept me and asgore. I always tell him "I'll protect you, don't worry." and i fight.And fight, and fight, and FIGHT! But i always lose, they're always RESETTING!!" Chara drops down to her knees. "I just wanted to save them all, sans. I wanted to save asriel. But i couldn't even do that." I sigh and knelt down to chara. I lift her chin up so she's looking at me. "Listen.If this is true, which it really sounds like it, then you don't have to go back.This frisk is never resetting.We've been out of the underground for 3 months now, and she's never reset once. Chara sniffles and wipes her face. "And asriel is alive in this timeline-" "Asriel?Where?Can you show me?" She looks anxious to get to him. 

I teleport us to toriels door and knock on it. She opens the door and looks at us. "Hello sans-....chara?" She was about to hug chara, but chara steps back from her. She looks away, with a tear in her eye. "You may think that i'm your chara, but i'm not.I'm sorry for what happened to her." Toriel looks down. "My apologies, so you are another chara then?From where??" "Another timeline that has another frisk that kills all my family and loved ones and keeps on resetting and doing it over and over again until i lose my sanity and just grab her before she can do anything to asriel or mom or dad or king sans or papyrus the ruins dude.." Toriel blinks. "In your world, sans is king, and papyrus is the ruins person?Like me?" Chara nods. Toriel lets them come in. Flowey and frisk was playing together, but as soon as frisk and flowey turn around to look at them, they get shocked. "Chara...?But, you look like sans?" Chara looks at frisk. She was about to grab her knife, but then i grab her hand and wave it at frisk. "She's awkward around new people.You see she's from another timeline that has a genocide frisk that kills all her family over and over and she can do nothing about it.Until when she stabbed frisk and frisk resets with chara.That's how she ended up here.She's me in another timeline.And get this, i'm a king in her timeline!And papyrus is the ruins person." Frisks mouth drops. "I'm so sorry about what has happened to you." 

Chara looks away. "The only one that i really couldn't save was asriel. He was almost ready to be a royal guard, and i believed in him." Floweys eyes shrink. "Sans said asriel was here though so." "He must be mistaken, asriel is not here.All that's here is flowey and frisk." "Yeah, just me and frisk idiot." Chara quickly grabs her knife and points it at flowey. "TALKING FLOWER OH MY GOD IT TALKS" Flowey grabs vines over the knife and puts it back in her pocket. "Jeez stop trying to stab me already chara!" "Actually...asriels here." Frisk points to flowey and sighs. "What..?" "Flowey is asriel.Alphys experimented on his dust, and turned him into what he is now.He has no soul, so he can't feel." 

Chara looks at flowey, and crumbles her fists up. "And you said she's a scientist, right?" Frisk nods. Suddenly chara teleports off. "Oh jeez.What's she gonna do to alphys?" "We gotta get her." 
Everyone nods and i teleport us off to find chara and stop her before she hurts alphys.
