Seth and James have been friends since 1999, when they first met on the show, Freaks and Geeks, James had feelings for Seth, but he would never be able to pursue them as Seth was married, so He kept his feelings to himself and carried on as normal.
One day Seth was at James's house, watching tv. When an advert came on about rehoming abandoned puppies. Seth's heart sank and he looked at James with puppy dog eyes and said "We should adopt one?"
"You're kidding?" James replied,
"No, I'm Seth Rogen..." He laughed.
"No, kidding about getting a puppy."
"Ha, don't be silly, Franco. I know what you mean't"
James looked at Seth very seriously, "Do you think we'll be able to look after it?"
"Of course, we can't just leave those puppies abandoned there!"
"But Seth, we're on set most days...who will look after it?"
"My wife Lauren will, she loves animals."
James finally gave in... "Okay, we'll have a look, I'll say this clearly not to buy 'TO LOOK'"
So James and Seth both agreed just look at the puppies, but when they got there, they couldn't help falling in love with a beautiful King Charles Spaniel. "Awww, look Seth...that dog is sooo cute!" "I'll ask the ASPCA lady, if we could stroke the dog."
Minutes later the ASPCA lady came over and let the dog of the cage. "If you're interested in buying her, then I'll be at my desk." and as soon as Seth and James laid eyes on her, the instantly became attached.
"You're absolutely right, Seth, we need to buy her!"
"Yes, that was thought process all along, I can't see her being that cage again, she needs to be loved and my wife will absolutely adore her!"
"Let's get her then!'"
So that's Seth and James did. They brought home to Seth and Lauren's house and Zelda (Seth's dog) gave her a good sniff.
Seth laughed "Well, I guess that's what Zelda makes of the new arrival!"
Seconds later, Lauren walks in from the garden, "You haven't brought a puppy, OMG...he's sooo adorable!" Lauren quickly scoops up the puppy in her arms and starts cooing over it. "Oooh, you're sooo cute, What's his name, Seth?" She asked.
"Shit! We need a name, wait...I got it, Millie!"
"How did you come with that name so fast?" said James looking puzzled
"I was thinking that we could call her something that means something to both us, we were in Freaks and Geeks together and my character in the show was Ken Miller, the dog's a bitch... so Millie."
"Clever thinking Seth, she definitely looks like a Millie." added Lauren.
"And the name will always mean something to you, and me of course!" approved James.
Meanwhile Zelda was getting to know her new friend, Millie by licking her private parts.
"It looks like Millie and Zelda are friends, a little bit too friendly...if you say so!" laughed Seth.
So they spent the rest of the afternoon playing Millie and Zelda..
