"Well maybe you should think twice before eating my leftovers, Leo."
And those were the last words my brother heard before I knocked him out with a frying pan.

-"Dang someone's watched 'Tangled' too many times. You know that's my fiancé who you just knocked out Adira," Jackie eyed me.
"And he's - sadly - my brother, Jackie. Your point?," I sighed.
"Well ya didn't have to kNoCK him out!" She tried to reason with me.
"He knows better than to eat my food. No one, I repeat, no one messes with me and my pizza."
Just then, my younger brother, 8 year old Liam, walked in and his jaw dropped to the floor.
His eyes shifted from the frying pan in my hand to the 24 year old pizza thief of a brother I just knocked out.
"MUM! ADIRA KNOCKED OUT LEO WITH A FRYING PANNN!" He cried as he ran frantically across the room.
"Relax. He'll be up within seconds," I smirked.
"How though?" Jackie asked, knitting her brows together.
I put up a finger, indicating for her to wait a minute.
I came back into the living room with dad's old cologne and sprayed it around my unconscious brother.
"Mum! Leo! I'm going out with a boy!
Don't wait up~"And that's all it took for him to shoot up like a d—
"A boy? A BOY! You can't be dating, not at this age. I've already told you, you can only date when you're 18. You're only 16"
"17"
"Whatever. Regardless you can't date Adira. It's illegal, you can't give consent for dating."
"No, Leo, I can't legally give consent for sex—."
"SEX?!" He gasped.
"Where have you learnt such words. Go to your goddamn room before I castrate your little boyfriend."
"I was joking, it was to wake you up," I explained.
He scrunched up his face in disbelief, "Sure sis. Now go upstairs."
I groaned and started stomping up the stairs as Jackie burst out laughing.
"Oh Leo, you're not dead! By the way what does castrates mean?" I heard Liam's voice downstairs.
"It—...ah."
"IT MEANS HE'LL CHOP OFF YOUR DICK" I yelled.
"ADIRA!" He scolded.
I chuckled, going into my room.
That's my family.
My 8 year old brother Liam, 24 year old Leo who's going to graduate law school soon, a mother that's never really around and about 3 stepfathers that leave in less than 2 months—regardless of how long they've dated.
All of that...and random things of dad that we still keep around to remind us of him...as if we'd forget.
He died.
Mum never stayed around after that...always a new man, a new dad for us...she just misses him.
Leo is that cliche protective older brother.
He thinks all guys out there will hurt me and one day I'll break so bad that I can't fix myself.
As if.
...but what if we are the people our parents
warn us about?_
A/N:
Oof welcome to a bad start :))
