Their Story: Audrey & Noah

.chapter 2.

I woke up on my couch, Max sprawled across my lap and a bit of drool by my mouth. It was day two, another day and another adventure. I got up and shook all the shed off of my sweatpants, poor Max looked a bit discouraged I had to move him. I did my morning routine, shower, brush my teeth, shave, put on deodorant, put my clothes on, do my hair, and give myself a spray or two of cologne. I make sure I don't have any leftovers of breakfast in my teeth and I go on my merry way. I grab my helmet in the garage next to my baseball equipment (for later this year) and I pull out my bike. I begin my ride down to the hospital, seeing good 'ol Monterey in the morning is something I can get used to.

20 minutes passed and I was at the hospital, I gave myself one more little squirt of cologne to make up for some sweat I may have built up and head in.

"Good morning Noah."

"Morning' Susen." Susen checked me in and I thanked her. I head into the teens dorm and I sat down in one of the couches. I dug through my bag to try to find my breakfast sandwich I packed, the little bits of bacon grease were peeking through the wrapper. I took a bite, casually waiting for patients to flood in. I saw nurses come and go in front of me, and nurse Sheri walked past and gave me a sweet hello. I zoned out for a bit, only to be shocked when two hands covered my eyes and the following words, "guess who?"

"Hmm, let me think. Huh, I can't seem to guess. But hello Audrey" I said sarcastically. She let out a laugh and went around me and sat next to me.

"Hey how are you?" She shrugged.

"I just hope Ella will be ok, I can't stop thinking about her." I gave her a hug.

"She will be alright, she will have support." Audrey said a faint, 'I hope so.'

And I hugged her tighter.

"On another note, what do you wanna do today?" The light in her eyes returned quickly.

"Well, today we are going on a field trip! To the aquarium!" The aquarium, one of my favorite places here.

"What time are we going?" I asked as Audrey got up.

"In 45 minutes I think..." I nodded.

"I'll be right back, I should change." She slipped away back into her dorm. She was wearing these gray sweatpants that around her thin legs looked huge on her.
