Chapter 14

I peer around into the darkness. My eyes are huge as I keep watch. It's been three days since the fight, and silver still hadn't woken up. Me and rosarade swap positions every night for watch. Since salamance and charizard fly us everywhere, they get to sleep every night. I hear something moving behind me.

Looking around the clearing, I see nothing. My heart is beating extremely fast, it seems like I just ran a marathon. My breathing is heavy, as usual. Lately, I've been sore all over, and have had hard breathing. Sometimes I wonder if I'm in worse condition than silver. It sure seems that way.

I hear the rustling again. Spinning around, I closely watch the area. No one appears to be here, but looks can be deceiving. Thats a fact, I know that first handed. I slowly rotate in circles. The rustling grows louder. I hold my breath and get into battle position, inches away from rosarade to wake her up.

It keeps getting until a zigzagoon appears. I let my breath out and pet the normal type. Suddenly, more rustling sounds from all around the clearing. Before I can get back in battle position, a group of people surround us. I reach for rosarade but someone speaks. "We're here for a friendly talk. Don't wake up the Pokemon unless you want to fight"

I clench my teeth and withdrawal my hand. "First thing you should now, silver will wake up tomorrow. But he will die" he seemed to draw the word out, just to antagonize me "in a week if you don't get him healed. The only two places the healing dusts are at are" he pauses and grins "in the lab, or at the very top of mount cornet. If you don't ALL die before you reach the top"

I gasp loudly, making charizard's wing twitch. "But that's a the way in sinnoh!"

He grins again. "I'll give you some time to think about it"

I stare daggers at him as he slowly turns around and struts away. Sinnoh is so far away from here. We only have a week... I shake my head. The further away the better. Sinnoh, here I come.
