Suddenly, he was coming at her with all of his force, "You useless piece of shit!" he yelled shoving her against the wall. A stream of tears was flowing down Lee's cheeks as Chaz came up to her, "You are nothing, you will never be anything. The only person in this world that cares about you is me and you don't even have the decency to say thanks." "I-I- I'm sorry." Lee said sobbing. Chaz punched her in the mouth. "Fucking bitch. I didn't say to say sorry I said to say thank you." "Th- thanks." He hit her in the eye this time. "This should teach you a few manners." He said forming his hand into a fist.

Lee shot up in bed, tears rolling down her face. She was sweating and breathing very heavily. "Hey, hey, hey it's ok Lee." Noah said turning on the lamp beside him. Lee began having really bad night terrors a few days after seeing Chaz. They were so bad that Joe had Noah temporarily move in with Lee and Joe to help calm Lee down. It breaks Joe's to see his sister so helpless. After a few minutes of calming her down, both Noah and Lee would go back to sleep as if nothing had happened.

Noah had to go back to his house after 2 weeks of living with the Keerys. Lee's night terrors had gotten a lot better and Noah had to go back to school. Lee had started to talk to Finn again and they were really killing it as friends. Lee heard a knock on her door, "Come in!" she said. When the door was opened, there stood Joe. He walked in and sat down next to Lee. "So question, how would you feel if you just didn't do school this year." "What?" Lee said in shock. "Yeah, I was thinking about it and you are just so busy and why not take a gap year between 8th grade and high school. You and Noah could start high school at the same time." "What would I do if I didn't go to school?" "Well," Joe said pulling something out room behind his back. It was Lee's notebook of songs. "You left it in the hospital room and I saw it as we were leaving. I saw that it said Lee's songs and I was thinking maybe you could get back in the music game."

"But, Joe. you've always said that I should get a good education." "I know what I said but, right now, the less stress you can have on you the better off you will be." Lee thought about this for a while. "If you think it's best for then, fuck it. No school." Joe got super happy and hugged his sister. "Come on Lee. Let's go watch hours of mindless TV."

one month later...

Her brand new EP was almost done. She just needed to write one more song but she was stuck. To clear her head, she would jog to Noah's house but she wouldn't be able to see him because of school work. So that meant she would call Finn. They would talk for hours about the most random stuff.

Tonight was no different except Finn had to go about 30 minutes to the call. "That's weird," Lee thought, "He never leaves that early." She shrugged it off and went downstairs where Joe an Hannah were in the midst of what looked like a pink tornado. "Um, what's going on?" Hannah ran over to Lee and pulled her over to where Joe was. "I made him look like a pretty princess!" Hannah exclaimed. Joe had makeup smudged all over his face, a tutu was on his neck, and there were 3 tiaras in his hair. He mouthed to Lee, "Kill me please." "He looks beautiful." Lee said. "I think it's Lee's turn to be a pretty princess." Joe said with a smug look on his face. "No. No. No." Lee said as Hannah Rose walked over to her with a big smile. 

Lee ran for it, but that didn't stop Hannah from chasing her. They ran all over the house, jumping over furniture,  Lee throwing pillows and sliding down banisters to avoid her little sister. Each time they ran through the living room, Joe was laughing hard than he was the time before. Finally, Lee had gotten Hannah far enough behind her that she ran to her room, closed the door and locked it right was Hannah had reached the door.

She stayed in her room listing to Why Don't We until Joe called her down for dinner. Joe's face was back o normal and he had nothing left of his pretty princess time. Hannah Rose was bathed and in a cute onesie. Lee ran back up stairs and put on her matching one to Hannah Rose. They all had a great a time laughing about what happened earlier and they told Hannah about the new EP. After half an hour more of talking Joe said, "Hannah, it's time for bed." Reluctantly, Hannah obliged and Lee's siblings dispersed up stairs to Hannah's room.

Lee took a shower and put on some normal pjs rather than her onesie and walked into her room. She plugged in her Christmas lights and scrolled though Instagram. After a few minutes she looked over at her window and show a piece of paper covering in. Come outside. Lee was bored and she wanted to see what was going on so she quietly walked downstairs because she knew the whole house was asleep. When she opened the door, she was stunned.

Lining the path from the front door to the sidewalk, there were little battery powered candled and there was someone at the end of the path. She walked toward them in awe. When she got down to the sidewalk she read the sign that the person was holding. Guess who? The person holding the sign moved it down and there stood Finn. Lee was so overwhelmed by everything she could't even speak. 

Don't say anything the next sign said. I know you said that your favorite movie is Love Actually. he dropped the sign to reveal the next. So I watched it and I've decided this is how I'm gonna tell you how I feel about you.  He revealed the next card. 

The last year was really hard on me. (I'm gonna use slashes to show when it's a new card ok? ok)/ I realized that I really fucked up and I'm sorry/ When I got that first text from you a few weeks a go I was so happy/ Everyday since I have looked forward to texting you/ It's the best part of my day/ And I know you are still processing what happened with Chaz/ but/

Lee began to feel light headed all of a sudden. It came out of nowhere but she just ignored it.

I love you Lee/ And if you don't love me then that's ok/ because you know how I feel/ And that's enough.

Without warning Lee just collapsed onto the ground.
