Joan Watson is going through a tough time. With her father dying in the war in Afghanistan and her older sister being put in rehab for alcoholism, its no surprise when shes sent off to a boarding school by her mother at the start of her Sophomore year. and things dont get any beter when she gets an insame roommate whose always comducting experiments in their room. things soon get dull for both Joan and her roommate, but when a cheerleader is found dead in the swimming pool, and the teachers are no closer to finding out who did it that a toddler putting the square peg through a circular hole, its up to both of them to solve the mystery before another murder occurs.
