Somewhere, in the distant cosmos, lies a planet called Earth. But this isn't where our story takes place. Actually, there's a planet quite similar looking about an eon's worth of light years away. That, however, is where our story will begin, and end. That is a planet called Yutifia. Green grasses, tall trees, blue skies, flora and fauna of all kind, no pollution to speak of, and perfect seeming human-looking creatures. yes, this seems like the perfect planet compared to Earth. Well, almost.
I'm sure you, dear reader, have heard of the "hollow Earth" theory at some point. Well, this planet is, indeed, hollow, but it is not empty. Within the planets perfect outer shell, lies an almost complete opposite world. No plants, crystallized cave creatures, menacing dragons, permanent twilight, weather ranging from boiling heat to frigid cold, and to top it off, it is overrun with monsters. These aren't your typical zombies or vampires, these are human-like creatures with fangs, fluorescent and bizarre colored skin, horns with different shapes and sizes, and with no malicious intentions towards others.
No, these monsters are not ill wishing upon others. They also can speak perfect English, as their outer-worldly counterparts do. These two opposite races are called many things, many of which are not appropriate, but most commonly, they are called Outer Yutifians and Inner Yutifians. The two races are ruled by two kings or monarchs. The Outer Yutifians, or Outers, are ruled by King Alistair, a seemingly perfect king who ruled over seemingly perfect people.  The Inner Yutifians, or Inners, are ruled by The Great Fanged One, a strong and terrifying monster king with no weaknesses to speak of.
The Outers are also called Nobles, or Nobies, because they are all some sort of noble figure to King Alistair. These Nobies to not work, and have people do everything for them. That is where the Inners come in. They have a much more diverse caste system, the lowest being the Crafters, then Hunters, Entertainers, Scholars, Clerics, and the highest being Half-Nobles, or Halvies. Halvies are recognized as being just as important as Nobies to the monsters, but just as worthless as the rest of the monsters to the Nobles.
Nobody is allowed to enter the other realm, as it is forbidden by both parties. This is because about four-hundred mocks, or years ago, a war broke out between both Inners and Outers, resulting in almost total annihilation. The Great Fanged One and King Alistair do not agree on much, but that was one rule that they agree completely on.
Since both races are different, well, races, they also have different life spans and traditions. The Outers are the closest things to humans you will find, as they live with their parents until they become an adult, which is usually around 30 mocks. Outers age slightly slower than humans, and they can live for slightly longer. They continue to age until about 150 mocks, then they either die of old age or health issues. Inners, however, age like Outers until they hit the age of 30 mocks, then, their features stay the same until death. Inners cannot die of old age, and only die if they are killed by an external force or some sort of disease. Inners also do not ever meet their parents, as they are immediately taken away after birth and sent to an aging center, where they stay until they become able enough to take care of themselves, which is usually around 15 mocks.
Now that we have the past addressed, we can move onto the present.
