Hey guys I changed the title because I came up with a better idea of we're this story will go and the title begins to makes sense in this chapter. So enjoy! And for those of you who didn't know I added a bit more to the last chapter 4 or 5 days ago. Anyways here is Chapter 21

She had been through a lot of from abusive alcoholic biological and foster parents to being bullied at school. This caused Matilda to become anorexic til she was 12. Phil knew this, Phil knew every detail. even the ones Riker didn't know. this was because she trusted him. Matilda trusts him with her life. which was big. She never knew why she told him every little detail. It seemed like he was there to listen, he would never leave her.

Whenever she feels down she remembers Christmas 2011. she had flown to London two weeks before Christmas and when her two weeks in London were up she was snowed in. Luckily Dan and Phil let her stay with them. On Christmas Day while the boys were opening there presents from each other and Maddy. Phil presented her a box wrapped in the Sunday comics. Which was Maddy's favorite part of the paper. She tried to tell him he didn't need to but he wouldn't have it.

He knew she was sorta bummed she wouldn't be able to be with her family and give them their presents this year. she smiled at the boys and slowly ripped the newspaper off the present. It revealed a shoe box that read CONVERSE. She looked at Phil with a look that said thank you. she opened the box to reveal a pair of yellow converse. To you they may just be a pair of converse but to Maddy they were special. Not only because they were her favorite color but because they were her first Christmas present from Phil. The one she would carry with her forever.
