I was so proud of Alex! He had just won the game by making the last touch-down! It was so intense I couldn't stand it, but I couldn't believe it. The whole stands all rushed on to the field to go talk to the boys and congratulate them. I was all smiles. "Mom they did it!" I said giving her a high-five. She smiled.

"They sure did, Alex did great!" She replied.

"I know, he just made history!"

"Yes he did!"

"I'm so proud of him, can I go down there to talk to him?" I asked her.

"Yeah, let's go!" She said. I started to run down the stairs on to the field. Everyone was talking to all of the football players. I adjusted my dress to make it look good for Alex, and ran my fingers through my tangily hair.

"Alex?" I called through the crowd. There were so many people that I didn't know where he was. I think I was around the middle of the field. I looked over to where the Dragons were, they were spread out all over the field on their knees mad that they had lost. A few of them walked past me. I stopped one of them.

"Good game," I said to a burly looking guy who was going up against Alex.

"Thanks.. good job... on your speech..." He said to me.

"Thank you, good luck next time!" I said, trying to be as nice as I could because I didn't want to make him feel bad. I kept looking for Alex. "Alex?" I called out. There were so many people walking past me. Then I saw the Knights symbol, I was in the middle of the field.

Alex came walking up to me and I started to smile like crazy. "Alex!" I said. I jumped into his arms.

"We did it!" He said.

"You did do it!" I replied. He had one arm behind his back. "You defeating the Dragons...!"

"To get the pretty girl?" He said. I giggled.

"What?" I said. He pulled out the old book I always read from behind his back.

"You know, like in your story... We're the Greysland Knights, we defeated the Dragons, and I got the beautiful princess, you," He said to me. I wrapped my arms around him. I hugged him so tightly. I finally realized it, Alex was my knight, he really was. I looked at him square in the eyes, smiled, and then kissed him, in front of everyone.

The End.
