You may have heard of the universe of werewolves and vampires but is there a universe of fox spirits?
Yes
Fox spirits are ancient spirits from Japan and China but very little people know that they exist in Korea too.

Fox spirits are of two generations
Zenkos and Yakos
Zenkos are the literal good fox spirits which worship fox spirit goddess inari osami

Yakos are literal field fox spirits who worship nogitsune

Zenkos have species Vulpes and Urocyon

Vulpes are more powerful species than Urocyon

Vulpes consist of sub species like Vulpix or red fox, arctic fox, kit fox and jackals
The strongest and most powerful sub species are the vulpix or red fox
But a myth states that specie more powerful than vulpix even the wolves and the vampires is Gumiho

In the fox world the power of the fox is determined by the number of the tails.

Some have one, some have five, some even have seven

There are  myths about the nine-tailed foxes, which are the rulers of all, the most powerful, the undefeated, the kings of kings Gumiho

But people say they all died while the mass attack by the field foxes who tend to take their powers

Myth also says that there was one nine tail that was even more powerful in the Gumiho, more powerful than the goddess Inari, the turquoise tailed ninetail but his existence has always remained unknown

Fox spirits also hold magical powers common being shape shifting making them survive in the human world, invisibility etc.
There are different type of fox spirits

Heaven, celestial, earth, fire, ice, dark, pure etc.
But the most powerful type is the oceanic type, which is not available or hasn't been recorded yet because it could only be held by the turquoise ninetailed 

Every fox spirit has a kitsune ball with them whenever they change into human form which holds their powers while they be as humans. It can even be placed carefully in a necklace.

The hood of the fox spirits also determine their powers, the most powerful being the vulpix hood.
While worshiping Inari they also worship the turquoise nine tail fox because it is said to be god fox spirit.

Fox spirits show their power through their tails, mouths and eyes.

Their tail, eyes and mouth are the same color of their type
Like if a fox spirit has fire type then it's eyes would be yellow, tails fuming with fire and mouth flaring fire.

Different type of fox classification are

The protectors: The black fox spirits which is commonly held by the corsac fox

The fighters: The red fox spirits in vulpix

The mothers: Commonly the arctic foxes

The furs are most evident structure for the fox spirits
The red fox have commonly red fur

The mothers have white fur

The protectors black

Through paintings and myths fox spirits have depicted that the turquoise nine-tailed fox spirit was silver furred
No one knows the reason behind the turquoise tail of the fox spirit though but still it is worshiped and it is said that the turquoise tail holds special powers

Foxes are the third most powerful supernatural animals after werewolves and vampires though turquoise nine tailed is the most powerful even in werewolves and vampires.

When the foxes shape shift, they get the human face on the basis of their clans, the most powerful clan would get the most beautiful face in the human form.

The mate of the fox spirit can also see the fox spirit through their human form no one else can see the fox spirit in it's real form through their human form.

If all the tails of any fox spirit is cut the fox spirit dies

The fox spirits can identify each other in the human world because they have similar marks on their skin

Mark through which foxes can identify each other

Mark after mating your mate.
