It was just a dream.......or was it.

It was just a dream. I awoke breathing heavily and my heart beating fast and so loud that it sounded like a racehorse on a cobblestone path. The room was dark, and spooky. I was in a deep sweat. This dream was like none other. It wasnt a scary dream. Nay, it was a dream of which could be my possible future. I starred blankly into the darkness, contemplating the shocking and oh so visual events upon which occured in this dream.

In the dream, here is what happened.

I was sitting in a resturaunt, waiting for some friends to arrive, when out of no where, a random girl sits down at my table. I had seen this girl when i walked into this resturaunt. She was beautiful. Brown hair with golden streaks. Her face gave off a calm vibe when she smiled. Her eyes, like two earths, so full of life. She had a tint of red to her cheeks which gave her a look of innocence. As I emerged from the obvious yet captivating starring, she caught my attention. She asked me something. Her question, "would you wanna come to a party with me?". How can I get this lucky? An absoultley beautiful girl, sat down at my table, and asked ME. Normally I am against girls asking guys out, but in this dream, things were different. I told her yes, and called up my friends and told them something had come up. She told me to pick her up at her house at 8 o'clock. I pulled up, I was so nervous. I got out of the car, and waited outside for her. I texted her, and she told me to knock on the door. I walked up to her front door and knocked. The door opened, to my suprise, there was an older man by the door. He greeted me, with a firm handshake and a smile. I asked him how long it would be. He said just a few more minutes. I waited, quietly. Partially because the man, whom I assumed to be her father, kept on starring at me. I didn't want to say anything to offend him. I looked up, and there she was. At the top of the stairs. She was dressed in an elegant red dress, and golden sandals. In her hands she held a tiny red purse. She looked so incredibly beautiful. She walked slowly down the stairs, never taking her eyes of me. As she reached the bottom, the man took hold of her hand and escorted her over to me. He looked at me and said "I want you to watch out for my daughter, she is my little girl". I shook his hand, and nodded in agreement. "I want her back home by midnight!" he said with a stern voice. "Daddy, I'll be fine, don't worry!" she said. I took hold of her hand and walked her to my car.

On the way to the party, we talked a lot more. We had more in common then anticipated. We both liked the same music, camping, traveling. The same foods, movies, and she was not shy at all.

Once we arrived, I quickly walked over to her door and opened it for her. She smiled. I had no idea what kind of party this was, so I dressed to impress. With her on my arm, i felt like James Bond. We walked into the party. This party was like no other. Everyone was dancing and having a good time. The sense of excitement flowed through the air. Her girlfriends came over to us and she introduced me. They were all really nice. What kind of party was this? I went and got she and I some snacks and some drinks. Then it hit me! She was the only one who was dressed up really fancy. This was her birthday party! But why me? I'm just a guy from her English class. She barely knows me. There are better looking guys in the class. I pushed my thoughts aside and found her sitting with her friends. I asked her to dance. What was I thinking? I can't dance. Well not well anyways. She didn't care. This was her birthday, and I thought I'd make her laugh and have a good time. We both danced all night. A slow song came on. I knew how to dance to this. I took her hand, and she followed me like a reflection in a mirror. I held her in my arms. I held her tightly. I never wanted this night to end.

Midnight came much faster then we thought. It was time for this perfect night to come to a rest. I wanted to see her again so I took her back home, just as her father had requested. He was waiting outside. I walked her up to the front porch, where her father gave me a nod of approval. I shook his hand and he went inside. She thanked me for being there for her. I starred into her eyes, she starred back into mine. I was gonna go for it. I slowly leaned in. I kissed her. Waves of adrenaline went over my body. She grabbed my hand and I grabbed her's. This was perfect. I pulled her in closer, I never wanted to let go. We were interruppted by the flickering of the front porch lights. I said goodnight, hugged her tightly, kissed her forehead, and walked backwards towards my car. I got inside, and turned on the radio. The song we slow danced to was playing. I drove back home and went to sleep.

So here I am, laying in bed. Realizing that what I just shared with you was a dream, yes. But tomorrow, I'll see her. I will think of the dream. Feelings will not change. Tomorrow, things will be different. But feelings for her will stay the same.

I didn't mention the girl's name. Sorry, but I would hate to embarrass her.
