The chair scraped across the ground drawing my attention away for my book I look up startled by who was there the last person I expected. Big Hazel eyes a cute button nose with freckles brushed over and gorgeous lips.

We sat in silence for a few moments so I picked up my book. My mind wandered making it hard to pay attention to it, 'why where they here? What do they want? Did I do something.'

The waitress sauntered over to us
"hey what can I get for you today," she asked in her high pitched squeaky voice, I felt sorry for her as she must have had a lot of problems, with bullying.

"Um I would like an iced coffee thanks"

"And I'll have a chai latte" I finished

"I'll bring them out for you soon"

There was more silence, it wasn't awkward, it wasn't exactly nice, it was just silence.

After 5 minutes of the sounds of the city, the waitress brought out our drinks.
