Micah's POV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Micah's limbs suddenly gave out, her vision going hazy and her brittle body unable to hold her anymore. There was a thud, she caught a glimpse of the boy's panicked face hovering above her, and for a second her eyes were locked with his. For the first time, micah was scared of dying. And just like that he was gone.The darkness was back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The faint shuffling in the background was barely recognizable, but micah could hear it clearly. her head was spinning, her eyes still too weak to open, and, being the lazy person she was, she slumbered on. But the rattling growing louder and louder like an annoying alarm.
Jolting awake, she rubbed her eyes violently, her sight slowly getting used to the brightness from outside. "how long have I been on this train?"
"So your finally awake."
The boy sat with his legs crossed opposite her, on a chair.
"Where is the train..." She trailed off. Micah wasn't in a train - she was tucked into a bed, which definitely didn't belong to her. The bed was surprisingly soft, almost as soft as her own bed back at home... Or the house she used to live in. Watching her from afar, stood tall brown walls decked with fancy pictures. Light came flooding through the large window to her right, through which she could see the bustling city below her. She couldn't recognize this place, but something felt familiar. The smell of fresh flowers drifted around, which added to the 'peaceful' theme of this room, but Micah was far from being at peace. She realized even the chair the guy was sitting on looked quite fancy too, and he sat on it like he was a king on his throne. Could this be his room?
As Micah tried to get up, her body stubbornly wouldn't budge. There were some wires attached to her body and a bitter taste lingered on her tongue. Her eyelids were heavy, drooping shamelessly but Micah tried her hardest to stay awake. Everything felt weird. What happened? Why can't I remember anything? Frustrated, she yanked the some of the annoying wires off her, making the boy flinch and jerk forward. His hands were outstretched, palms facing her, telling her to stop. But his mouth stayed sealed. Not a word escaped his rosebud lips, which formed a small, almost invisible, grin.
Peeling her eyes away, she noticed the fabric on her skin felt different. Her clothes were not clinging tightly onto her body anymore, she peaked down quickly just to make sure she wasn't naked. Thankfully she wasn't, but what she was wearing was definitely not hers either. It's not... his is it? Oh my god eww.. Wow kill me now. He did NOT see me naked did he? He must have noticed her hyperventilating, scoffing as he mentioned nonchalantly that the clothes didn't belong to him.
" CHill out! I didn't see anything. The lady gave it to you and helped with your clothes issue. You barfed all over them.. "
"The lady?... WAIT did I actually ?"
"No, I was just joking." Micah could have sworn that the corner of his lips lifted a bit.
Stop staring at him, Micah!
"How do you fee -- "
" -- How long have I been out?!"
"Well.. a while."
"How long is a while?" She pestered impatiently.
"Uhh, Two or three hours?"
"Are you sure? You don't seem sure?"
