You wake up in a cold sweat and look at the clock on your night stand. 3 am. You've barely slept because you haven't heard from Akira in days. You stand up and walk to your bathroom and splash water on your face. 'Where could he be? Is he okay?' He's disappeared like this before but never for this long.
You walk back to your room and see a dark figure outside of your window. So dark you can't see who or what it is. You grab the first thing you see that can be used as a weapon. An... umbrella? Sure. Whatever. Wielding the umbrella you inch closer to the window. The window opens and you swing. The umbrella stops mid swing and you hear a familiar voice. "Hey, y/n", the creature chuckles. It's Akira! You cover your face in embarrassment, knowing he's laughing at the fact that you were going to try to fight off an assailant with such a silly, unstable thing. You drop the umbrella and hug Akira.
He's... warm. Warmer than usual. As if his blood is boiling. It's freezing outside so you wonder if he's okay. He sits on your bed and you barrage him with questions, like a mother who's child stayed out long after curfew. He assures you he's alright and you notice a blood stain on the breast pocket of his shirt. "What's happened?!" "It's just a scratch", he says. You touch the stain and it's still wet. You demand he takes off his shirt so you can get a closer look. There's blood everywhere. He smiles gently and reassures you that he's fine and you shouldn't worry. You tell him to stay and go get the first aid kit from your bathroom.
You come back to clean dress his wound and it's gone. Just a scar now. He chuckles. "You really don't have to worry about me." He hugs you again and kisses your forehead. You blush. He tells you to go back to bed and moves over so you can lay down. He climbs up next to you and holds you in his arms.
"You can get some rest now. I'm sorry for worrying you. I'm here now."
You look up at him. He's crying again.
