Days left: 5

Kurt woke up in his bed. That's odd. He thought. He had fallen asleep on the bathroom floor. Kurt didn't remember waking up at all during the night. Whoever had sat with him the previous night must've carried him back to his his dorm. Which was a ten minute walk. He had to have carried a 160 pound boy for 10 minutes. Kurt flushed with embarrassment. Kurt drooled when he slept. Kurt stuffed his face in his pillow and screamed.

He suddenly remembered that he wasn't alone in the room. Blaine snored quietly across the room. Kurt stared at him almost creepily for a few minutes. Kurt watched as Blaine's chest moved up and down slowly, with each breath. Kurt examined the way Blaine's eyelids fluttered a tiny bit. When Blaine slept he looked truly like a baby. He had to resist the urge to squeeze his cheeks. Blaine looked so peaceful. As if all of his troubles had gone away. Kurt wondered if that's how he looked when he himself slept.

When Blaine started to twitch in his sleep, Kurt snapped out of his daze and quickly looked away. He glanced at his alarm clock. 6:03 AM. Shoot! He had slept past his alarm! He only had 15 minutes to get ready and head downstairs for breakfast. Kurt whipped off his warm covers and scrambled off of his unfairly warm and soft bed. He grabbed his freshly pressed and dried uniform off of the tip of his wardrobe and practically ran to the bathroom. Before he shut the door to change he remembered that if he was going to be almost late, Blaine was definitely going to be late. "Blaine!" He called from the bathroom doorway. "Get up! We're going to be late!" Blaine started to stir and groaned.

"Ugh." He responded. Kurt took that as a sign that he was getting up and fully closed the bathroom door. Or so he thought.

Kurt rushed to the sink and whipped out his toothbrush, knocking over the cup sitting on the edge of the sink. He quickly scooped it up off the floor and returned it to its original place. He quickly squeezed toothpaste onto the brush head. He shoved the brush into his mouth and brushed as quickly as he could. Kurt applied a thin layer of gel to his hair to make it stand up. He stripped off his pajamas and quickly slipped on his underwear and then put his dress pants on. He grabbed his undershirt off the floor. He stood up.

The bathroom door swung open. There stood Blaine, his hair fluffed out miles from his head and his eyes barely open. He was completely dressed in his uniform and was staring at the ground a few feet ahead of him. Kurt froze. Kurt's shirt. He still had it clutched in his arms. Kurt wasn't wearing anything on the top half of his body. Blaine looked up. His eyes widened to the size of Texas when he saw the half naked Kurt. Neither of the boys moved for a few seconds. But for both boys, it felt like hours.

Finally after what felt like forever Blaine spoke. "Oh... um.. Kurt... I'm uh, sorry I didn't realize you were in here. The door, uh, wasn't closed all the way." He still made no move to leave. Blaine's face was as red as a tomato. Kurt stared at him through the mirror in front of him. Blaine, however, stared at his back, mesmerized by the smooth, porcelain skin.

"Uh, Blaine? Could you leave?"

Blaine violently shook his head to clear his head. "Oh! Yeah! Sorry!" He laughed nervously and walked back out, shutting the door behind him. Kurt let out a shaky breath as soon as he heard the door click shut. His face had gone paled even more, if that was possible. He gave himself to the count of 10 to relive what had just happened, feel embarrassed, remember that it was more of Blaine's fault that he had walked in on him than his own, and forget about it. He finished getting dressed, in a seemingly less hurry than before.

Kurt quickly exited the bathroom and rushed to get his shoes on. He had 5 minutes to make it to the cafeteria if he wanted enough time to eat and make it to class 15 minutes early. He rushed out the door.

Once Kurt left Blaine slowly stood up from his bed. He sat there while Kurt finished changing. He honestly didn't mean to intentionally burst in on him like that. His face was still returning to its appropriate hue. Ugh! I'm so dang socially awkward! I just stood there like an idiot! And then that laugh after he asked me to leave! Agh, he must think I'm such a pervert! Blaine buried his face in his hands in despair as he made his way to the bathroom.

Once there he looked at himself in the mirror. His hair was ruffled and his eyes bloodshot from sleep. Kurt will never like me. He decided. Just when they started to make progress, Blaine went and did something to mess it all up. It was a never ending cycle. And with only 5 days left, Blaine had to do something. And he had to do it fast. But what?

He took another deep breath. He would not think about this right now. Or ever for that matter. He couldn't risk crying again. Sooner or later Kurt or someone else, would notice and then he'd be the girly gay kid that everyone could say whatever they wanted to to him. Blaine would prove them wrong though. He'd managed to avoid being bullied most of his life. The word fairy only being used towards him a few times a week. He had only been jumped once! As sad as it sounded, it was much better than what a lot of people received.

Blaine rinsed off his face. There was no point in rushing. He could skip breakfast. His stomach roared in argument but he ignored it. If he procrastinated for long enough he could probably avoid seeing Kurt at breakfast. Especially after what had just happened. Blaine applied an absurd amount of gel to his hair, finishing his third tube of gel that week. He rinsed the extra grease off from his fingers in the sink. He quickly brushed his teeth. He read the clock after briskly exiting the bathroom. His phone read 6:39 AM. School started at seven. He decided it would be a good time to leave so that he had time to go to his locker and socialize with his friends.

But how could avoid Kurt?

More importantly, why should he avoid Kurt?

I really needed to get something published so here you are. I hate being rushed to write. I like the ideas to come naturally. I feel like if I pressure myself to write too much it gets cheesy. I hope this chapter wasn't too bad. I've got good stuff planned! I almost promise! 😉

I love you all so much!

Have a great day!
