Chapter 10 The Party

When we arrived at the venue, we were in shock because it was so much nicer then we had ever expected. We walked through the detailed wooden doors in awe and we saw a large marble fountain was right in the center of the room. We headed up the spiraling staircase that was to the right of the fountain to get to the banquet hall.

“Can you believe this place!?!” Callie quietly exclaimed while trying not to trip up the stairs and taking in her surroundings. The room we walked into was filled with tables that were set perfectly, and flowers and candles were scattered throughout the room. In front of us was a huge table filled with all the food you could imagine. To the right of the table of food was a huge table filled with various desserts, including a huge 5 layered cake with each layer being a different color to represent each of the boys. On top was a picture of all of the boys standing together on the stage of their first huge show. Everything was perfectly in place and ready for tonight.

“I knew it was nice, but not THIS nice!” Ella said nervously while trying to fix her dress.

“Ella stop being nervous! Your dress looks fine! Now stop worrying and go and talk to Harry. He’s all alone!” I said while playfully pushing her over to where Harry was standing. Ella nervously walked over to where Harry was standing by himself and started to talk to him. I knew she was so nervous, but she was trying not to show it.

The rest of us started to find our seats as more people started to file into the banquet room. When we finally found our table, we realized that we were sitting at one of the head tables with the lads.

“Wait, are we seriously sitting with them!?” Becca nervously whispered as she took her seat.

“I guess so, I should go talk to Ms. Tomlinson…” I stated while walking over to where she was standing talking to some guests I didn’t know.

When Ms. Tomlinson saw me approach her, she immediately walked over to me and gave me a hug.

“Annabelle! Hi darling! Your dress looks so beautiful on you! How are things going with watching my little girls?” she exclaimed.

“Everything’s wonderful; they really are so much fun watch!” I said while smiling. “I was wondering, are you sure that me and my friends should sit with the boys? I mean like their band or someone else could sit with them if they want…” I rambled on before being interrupted by Ms. Tomlinson.

“Sweetie of course! And it wasn’t my idea; it was actually the boy’s idea! Louis and you are close so he and the lads decided that they wanted to get to know all of you while they’re home!” she stated while giving me an assuring look.

“Alright, I just wanted to make sure!” I said while smiling.

“Now go have fun! Look your friends seem to be!” she proclaimed while pointing towards Becca, Callie, Ella, and Lily.

I was actually surprised for many reasons. First, I was shocked that Louis and the lads were the ones who came up with the seating arrangements. Second, I was surprised that they were all getting along so well. Callie, who was normally very quiet and not herself when she talked to boys was actually having a good time talking to Liam. She must have said something funny because Liam was laughing hysterically.

Ella was still talking to Harry and I saw that they were headed over to talk to some of Harry’s old high school friends. I saw that Zayn was sitting next to Rebecca and challenged her to a mean game of tic tac toe on the back of a table napkin. Niall and Lily were over by the buffet table piling there plates with all sorts of delicious foods.
