Chapter VII

A/n: *slowly opens door and walks in casually. goes to the stage up front, on looking patient readers* How's it going guys, *awkward silence* hehe so, I just wanna say I'm really sorry for not updating and keeping up with this but I had so many things going on with work and family which ironically has ties to this chapter but anyways I just wanna say Gomen'nasai *bows* and so I didn't want to leave the story off like that in the previous chapter so here's another chapter in which I can hopefully leave it with some closure since this story's run on longer than I originally thought but again I'm really sorry and appreciate all the support you guys give me with just views, comments or votes it's really appreciated but I'll let you get to what will hopefully be the start of the last chapters, as always thanks for reading. Later that night

*Knock knock*

Shoto wondered who could it be at this hour. He walked over opening the door momentarily freezing as he saw who it was.

"Umm evening Shoto-kun," Momo said standing at the other side of the door.

"Oh hey Momo." he said composing himself "what brings you by this late?" he question "is something wrong?" he said taking her hand.

"Oh no nothings wrong." she waved her arms "I umm just have a lot on my mind since earlier." she said shyly "and I umm kinda wanted to come see you." she met his gaze a blush coding her cheeks "but if it's too late I can always come back tomorrow." she added turning but a hand stopped her.

"No It's okay." he smiled "you're welcome to come by anytime." he said they walked inside as he closed the door behind them he could tell there was something bothering her over the years he learned to read her movements or the way her eyes didn't shine as bright when something ate way at her thoughts.

They walked to the living room as she took her coat off placing it on top of the couch as she turned to him "I also wanted to thank you for everything you did for my family and me." she said "you risked so much for me and I just stood there." her voice dying off as she said it

"There's no need to thank me." he stepped closer to her placing his hands on her shoulders "what I did I did for us." he said as he looked into her eyes as her eyes glistened at his words

"Do you really mean it." she said uncertainty evident in her voice

"So this is what's been eating away at here." he thought now feeling the weight of everything that's happened in the past couple of months "Momo" he got her attention "I'm sorry for everything I said and everything I did to cause you pain the past couple of months." he said "I left because I thought that's what would be best for us, for me, so I could become stronger but I was wrong. all it showed me is I was weak and still too foolish to understand what I had before me. I wish I could take it all back to undo everything I did wrong but I can't and I have to live with it as a reminder of how horribly wrong I was to leave you but it forced me to be strong it pushed me in the direction of the hero I want to be, the kind of person I want to be." he said taking her hands in his "I'll be the kind of hero that doesn't run away from his problems, who takes them head on no matter how big or how hard they seem, if I have you then I feel like there's nothing I can't do." he gazed into her eyes "because you are my strength. I only ask that you allow me the chance to make up for my mistakes, to allow me to make up for all those tears I caused to fall from those beautiful eyes." he cupped her cheeks

"I just don't want to lose you again." she clutched to his shirt as she sobbed his words finally breaking the damn that she built to hold back everything she felt over the past couple months. "It just hurt so much and I felt like if only I was stronger I could have stayed by your side and none of this would have ever happened and...and..."
